Dear all I need both 405 and 550 flour for a burger bun recipe. However, the Migros packs don't give a value. Does anyone know where I can find this information? Thanks

Every year again... For almost 4 years now, I have been getting a message that answers to my request have arrived and I keep hearing the same concerns and the same questions. I understand Migros' arguments very well and therefore usually just switch to Alnatura, because they have been labeling much more intensively for a long time. Now I have a suggestion for the ladies and gentlemen at Migros. Instead of adapting the packaging, it would be possible to hang a printout (approx. DIN A4) on each flour shelf with a note indicating which flour corresponds approximately to which degree of grinding. The effort would be minimal and the satisfaction of individual customers would increase exponentially. just as an idea...I like to follow the discussion here and read how it goes :-)
Hello Sbluemel, thank you very much for your contribution. In future, we will try to advertise the Mahlgarde more consistently on our website. However, it may take a while before all the information is online. We find the suggestion with the "poster" on the flour shelves interesting, but we don't want to confuse our customers in the stores with even more information and are unlikely to implement this. We ask for your understanding. Kind regards, Yann

... once again Migros proves its inability or unwillingness to answer a clearly formulated question within 4 years. There is probably no "specialist department" at Migros, I think. If there is, which flour in the Migros range corresponds to type 400?
I am currently also looking for a type 400 white wheat flour in the Migros range, has anyone had any feedback from the Migros 'specialist department' in the meantime?

It is actually a pure, trivial money problem, i.e. a profit maximization problem, that Migros refuses so steadfastly (and with so much (expensive) counter-writing effort in here) to print the types on the flours. No, it's not the cost of printing (which would be ridiculously low, as has been pointed out several times!), but the fact that "one" would then actually have to fill a consistent product, the quality of which consumers could "blame" Migros for. And this company shies away from that like the devil shuns holy water! The "popular" nature of Migros' image is - what a surprise! - here, too, is pure marketing calculation; it has never been about the consumers (what a surprise!)!

Not a slight exaggeration?
Neither Aldi, Lidl nor Coop have the labeling on the product.
Switzerland simply does not use the numbers.
And Migros is the only one that has placed the numbers online under the product.... even responded to this article. I think it's really bad to always see things as negative.

I looked at all the white flours, but they are all 550 and 812. The number 400 will hardly be available in the stores in Switzerland. Most likely in the mills/bakeries...
Maybe a little help until Migros replies.

Jitz Hammersack... It IS neither time-consuming nor difficult nor to anyone's DISADVANTAGE (!) to simply print these types somewhere in an empty space from the next new edition of the paper sacks! That is, unless Migros WILL not commit to a consistent flour quality because it is simply cheaper and therefore more profitable otherwise (as it is now)! And even IF 90% of shoppers really don't care, it doesn't bother anyone if it's simply done now as a service to the few (and there are MORE than you permanent ignoramuses want to admit!) better-informed customers! The time spent so far by Migros respondents in this thread has already cost more than direct implementation right from the start ever would have! What is your problem?

Tell me, are you still okay??? Maybe you should get some fresh air or find a hobby, as long as you stay away from the forum.
How can you get so extremely involved in something?

If you knew soooo much about baking, you wouldn't buy your flour at Migros. Just saying 🤷🏼♀️🤣🤣
Not having a clue but annoyingly ranting on here.

Oh... so your Migros, which you defend so vehemently, has bad flour? Tell us what's wrong with the Migros flours!
