Migipedia: lively interaction once more in 2023
Philipp_Migros
Another (Migipedia) year is drawing to a close. As a matter of fact, however, Migipedia's calendar should actually go from summer to summer. After all, it was back in June 2010 that you had the opportunity to visit the Migros digital community platform for the first time. At that time, Migipedia still carried the label "Beta", meaning that the website was still in a test phase. During 2023, you once again got to experience Migipedia in a test phase – as part of the so-called preview process. Every page that we felt was ready was made available for you to test and give feedback on in parallel with the pages you were viewing. And we have you to thank for the fact that we are working on giving the website a new coat of paint at all. Your ongoing feedback and several user tests have allowed us to gather valuable information on how we can make Migipedia even better for you. Soon this work will be finished and our collaboration will have delivered a new Migipedia.
However, it is not only feedback on the website itself, but also on our products that flows into our daily work at Migros. At the beginning of December, we were able to celebrate our one millionth product review. The fact that these reviews also make a difference is illustrated, for example, by the recipe optimization of V-Love The Grated – our plant-based alternative for grated cheese. To ensure that products can be found quickly and easily on Migipedia, we have joined forces with Migros.ch and integrated their product search into our website. This means that we can now provide you with much more suitable search results than before. However, it is not only products that can be found, but also product test pages, community posts and community members. You also gave us lots of feedback on the search function, which helped us to further optimize this tool.
Previews, product reviews, product improvements and feedback on the website's search function are just four examples of how Migipedia remains a joint effort: You, our community members and customers, and us, Migros – representing a large number of my colleagues with different tasks and responsibilities. I would like to thank you all very much for the past year we have enjoyed together. For your loyalty, your honesty and your patience as well as your positive and negative feedback. For now, all that remains is to wish you all a happy holiday season and a good start to the new year
