I have not been able to find this tea in any store for some time now. Has it been permanently removed from the range or is it just temporarily unavailable (which I very much hope!)?

Hello, personally I can still find it in the shops in Neuchâtel. After that, it's the basis of matcha, and import demand is becoming complicated. The fashion effect that everyone in the world consumes it means that the demand for matcha is 16x higher than the production that Japan can grow, especially as the leaves are harvested 1x a year. Not so long ago, you could buy 1kg of imported sencha for 10.00 - today, prices exceed 100.00 - even 300.00 - for traditional matcha! And with their shortage, prices could reach 4 figures per kilo.
Migros is going back to where demand is strongest in the 3M supermarkets.

In the meantime, I have stocked up on tea at the Alnatura supermarket in Constance. I'd actually prefer to shop in Switzerland, but if there's no other way...
