I was shocked to discover today that the Eimalzin malt cubes and Sportvit have been replaced by Ovomaltine products. Can this be? I am inconsolable!!!

We also sorely miss the Eimalzin malt cubes! They were such a practical size for the picnic bag. The Ovomaltine products are not an equivalent substitute, especially as they are much more expensive. Neither are the other Frey malt cubes in the 3 x 5 pack. Dear Migros, please please please please bring back the Eimalzin malt cubes in the usual packaging!!!!

Today in the Sonntagszeitung: Ovo chocolate is produced by Halba, a Coop subsidiary. Does anyone else understand MIGROS' strategy?

We are constantly monitoring market developments and identifying new trends. Since week 29, we have actually been carrying certain Ovaltine products in our range: Ovaltine Crunchy https://produkte.migros.ch/ovomaltine-crunchy (new for Eimalzine milk chocolate) Choc Ovo https://produkte.migros.ch/choc-ovo (new for Eimalzine malt cubes) We have only replaced certain Eimalzine products and have not discontinued all of them. But I have already discovered new favorite products as a result of the changes to the range. There is simply no certainty that you will be able to buy and enjoy a product for the rest of your life. I can only agree with Sina. But at least there is the certainty that you can usually pay more for the new products that are "adapted to customer needs"! (e.g. 100 percent surcharge on M-Budget sponge wipes...).
