I was shocked to discover today that the Eimalzin malt cubes and Sportvit have been replaced by Ovomaltine products. Can this be? I am inconsolable!!!

Hello Imperator, we have removed our Eimalzine milk chocolate and Eimalzine malt cubes from our range. We can assure you that we carefully review such a decision before implementing it. We are constantly monitoring market developments and identifying new trends. Since week 29, we have actually been carrying certain Ovaltine products in our range: Ovaltine Crunchy https://produkte.migros.ch/ovomaltine-crunchy (new for Eimalzine milk chocolate) Choc Ovo https://produkte.migros.ch/choc-ovo (new for Eimalzine malt cubes) We have only replaced certain Eimalzine products and have not discontinued all of them. We still have the following items in our range: Branches Eimalzin https://produkte.migros.ch/branches-eimalzin And sporadically these two in promotional format: Branches Eimalzin 50s Branches Eimalzin 30s Best regards, Angela
But we don't want Ovo products, we want our Eimalzin and Sportvit... If we want Ovomaltine, we can go shopping somewhere else, sorry, but that's the way it is...

Now we can count down until Califora (replaced by Caotina) disappears. And there are countless examples of this in the recent past. Soon Migros will no longer be needed. Is it actually fun to work for a company that is rapidly destroying the identity it has built up over decades?

In order to make individual product ranges more attractive, we supplement them with branded articles. The addition of branded articles to the Migros range remains an exception. Our strong own brands continue to make up the majority of the range. Where you're right, you're right... A lot of products that we really liked are disappearing. Migros has its own scheme for removing products from the range. They always give the same reasons: no space on the shelves, doesn't meet customer needs, etc. But the bottom line is that the products removed from the range are simply no longer profitable for Migros...

Dear Migros managers Yesterday I also wanted to buy my beloved Eimalzin cubes (my power boost during work) and was very disappointed that they were discontinued. Surely this can't be true!!!!

Hoi smartcoyote, well, if demand is no longer high enough, sales are no longer good either - a logical connection. And we don't deny that we also have to work economically. I'm sorry that it always affects your favorite products. Of course, I also have favorite products and am sad when I can no longer buy them. But I have already discovered new favorite products as a result of the changes to the range. There is simply no certainty that you will be able to buy and enjoy a product for the rest of your life. Yes, it is. But I'm not interested in the bean, for example. I buy branded goods elsewhere and not in Migros as a matter of principle.
We miss the Eimalzin cubes too! And Ovo Choc as a replacement costs almost twice as much as the cubes before! (Eimalzin 60g 1.90, Ovo 60g 3.50!!)
