I would like to look online to see which stores have the egg white in stock, but I couldn't find it at www.migros.ch...
@indios
I have no problem with the egg yolk (it contains all the vitamins and nutrients), but I'm happy if I don't have to throw 4 egg yolks in an omelette, for example, because I only want to put in 1 whole egg (yolk and egg white) and 4 egg whites... That's why I think the egg white product makes sense.

I can't find the Oh! free-range protein at www.migros.ch... Not even with the article number... Could it be that it is not yet online? Or am I somehow too stupid to find it?
OK, so there are applications. I can also see that for real strength athletes and bodybuilders. The product is certainly justified for them. But for normal fitness enthusiasts and others, it is not necessary to take additional protein if they eat a balanced diet. See e.g. alsohttps://www.migros-impuls.ch/de/ernaehrung/naehrstoffe-vitamine-co/proteine/zuviele-proteine. Quote: "Most of us, by the way, consume more protein than the official recommendation, because a healthy, balanced diet covers our protein requirements sufficiently." Too much protein can in turn damage the kidneys.
Well, be that as it may. I just hope that there really aren't any eggs from caged hens and that the egg yolks aren't simply thrown away by the producer.
And about the omelette: why do you only put 1 whole egg and 4 egg whites in it? I only know omelettes with whole eggs. As you write, they contain lots of good nutrients. And in terms of consistency, I would never have thought of leaving out most of the egg yolk. Or what is the reason for this?
@tnaegelin
I'm not a fitness or nutrition professional, but egg yolks have a lot of fat.
Many athletes make their omelette from egg white only, so that the fat content can be kept within limits and possibly taken from another source (e.g. avocado or similar)
One egg yolk (approx. 20 grams) already contains 6.4g of fat.
@smartcoyote thanks for your contributions. You're right, the article really isn't online yet. I have forwarded your comment - we will put it online as soon as possible. Best regards, Luisa
@tnaegelin
Me neither^^
No, but if you make an omelette from 4 eggs every day, it makes sense to pay attention to it.
