I have a few recipes where I need more egg yolk and there is "too much" egg white.
Sometimes I change it, less liquid but with egg white. But sometimes it really is "over". Yes, and that's how the producers do it, the egg white is then sold as "waste".
With the current protein hype, that's not a problem. It's sure to sell.
Macarons, merengue need egg white... For example? Who bakes a lot and needs icing?
There are even recipes on the web with more egg whites (more like egg yolks).
I mean, you can usually use egg yolks as well as egg whites. So "normally" I don't need the egg whites either. Whole eggs are ok, they are enough for me.
There are such packs with only egg yolks. I don't like egg yolks, for example, so the pack with just egg whites is great for me. Hopefully it's available everywhere

What do you need it for?
For the fitness and bodybuilding scene, egg whites are a great help to get your protein intake. It also has much less cholesterol and is less fatty....
In a diet, the product is a great help...
Not just for body pictures. I don't like the egg yolk, for example. I made a delicious vegetable omelette with the egg white today. It was super delicious.
As already mentioned, you need it for cooking, baking, for fitness freaks and bodybuilders, or even for normal people.
Those who don't need it don't have to buy it. Protein is the current trend, so Migros is introducing such a product. If it meets customer demand, it will remain in the range, if demand is too low, it will certainly be removed...
I can't find this Oh! egg white at www.migros.ch > Assortment/Search. And I haven't seen it in my Migros stores, where I often go shopping, either. When I asked the staff about it yesterday, they didn't know either or told me that they didn't have this product...
