Why can't egg cartons be returned to Migros? The use-by date would not necessarily have to be visible on the carton, as the eggs are already stamped accordingly. This could save a lot of unnecessary waste.

At Zurich's vegetable markets, you can return the egg cartons to some stalls
And in countless farm stores too. You can always take the egg cartons with you and refill them with eggs. No problem.
