Hello everyone, the reusable bags for fruit and vegetables have to meet many different criteria for Migros to include them in its range. In addition to transparency, other important aspects are, for example, that the labels adhere well, that the bags are absolutely food-safe and that they are of high quality so that they can be washed as often as possible and reused for a long time. Before the launch, we tested many different bags and ultimately decided on the Veggie Bag. We also tested equivalent bags from Europe. However, the Chinese bags could not be beaten in terms of quality, quantity and product know-how.
The focus was on launching a practical and well-functioning reusable bag that had to meet the high standards mentioned above. For this reason, we opted for the current version of the Veggie Bag. However, further possible optimizations of the bag will be examined on an ongoing basis and implemented if necessary. Kind regards, Joël
Something different .....
The veggie bags are good if you only ever buy a small amount of fruit like apples etc .
But honestly, buy a certain larger quantity, e.g. apricots and try to put them all on the scales before you put them in the bag .....
Firstly, you have to walk to the scales a hundred times and secondly, other customers are not so understanding.
Either a basket is missing which is not indicated on the scales or you set the scales so that the bag can also be weighed ..... otherwise all veggie bags are useless.
Hello Kapha
Some ideas on the subject have been tested, but a solution with the current system is not easy to implement. There are technical reasons for this, but the additional button/selection "veggie bag" / "plastic bag" would be an additional effort for all those who shop normally with plastic bags.
If you opt for the veggie bag, you can put the goods on the scale with or without the veggie bag (whenever possible).
Kind regards, Kathrin
No, so it's not that simple, weighing with or without the bag?
Because here in the Migros they told me that I have to weigh without the bag, because it weighs 7 g and it falsifies the price ?
Hello Kapha
May I ask at which branch you were given this information?
I would be happy to look into the matter...
Kind regards
Kathrin
Hi again Kapha
Thanks for your quick reply, I will contact the store immediately and get back to you as soon as I hear something.
Have a nice afternoon
Kathrin
Deduction at the checkout.
The checkout also registers which fruit/vegetables are bought and how much of them.
You would only have to attach a permanent barcode to the veggie bag, which is then scanned at the checkout. The checkout then recognizes that a veggie bag has been used. In this way, the amount that you have paid too much because of the weight of the veggie bag can simply be deducted.

That's right, I've also been using the bags for a long time. I think the product will catch on.
Hello Kapha
I forwarded your request to the Migros branch I mentioned.
Hopefully everything will go smoothly in the meantime, otherwise you are welcome to contact me again.
Kind regards
