We can only hope that these things sell badly and are therefore not included in the range! I'll play ..... make a wish.....
I hope that Migros will treat our environment with a greater sense of responsibility in future.

And Lidl is also announcing a change:
"Lidl Switzerland wants to offer paper carrier bags instead of the previous plastic bags from 2017. This should save 70 tons of plastic per year." http://www.20min.ch/finance/news/story/12844093
You can read about the veggie bags in today's K-Tipp:
Aufgespiesst: Questionable "veggie bags"

The polyester bags have successfully passed their test phase. Since yesterday, the product from China can be purchased in all Migros stores throughout Switzerland: http://www.presseportal.ch/de/pm/100000968/100801428

The consumer magazine calculates that with an average price per kilo for open goods of 5 francs, Migros is said to have collected 140,000 francs too much during the test phase alone.

Nevertheless, according to Migros, customers are allowed to weigh the goods first and then fill them into bags.
Hello @Bodenseeknusperli & @regio_konsum
The idea was examined, but a solution with the current system is not easy to implement. On the one hand for technical reasons and on the other hand an additional button or a selection "veggie bag" / "plastic bag" would be an additional effort for all those who shop normally with plastic bags. This is still the majority of customers. But you have the choice: plastic bag or veggie bag. If you choose the veggie bag, you can put the goods on the trolley with or without the veggie bag (whenever possible). Kind regards, Nicole
Hello @Bodenseeknusperli
In that case, thank you for your idea ;-) Best regards and happy Nami! Nicole
I think the principle of veggie bags is a good idea, but why are they made of plastic again? Wouldn't cloth bags/net bags, such as those offered in organic food stores, actually make much more sense? by the way, in many emerging countries compostable starch-based bags are given away free of charge, often even in the smallest shops in the country. my wish for Migros would be a combination of (free) disposable bags made of compostable materials in addition to (cost-effective) reusable cloth bags.
Hello everyone, thank you very much for your comments.
On the subject of availability: Veggie bags are now available throughout Switzerland.
Topic plastic:
The veggie bags must be transparent so that the checkout staff can easily see the contents without opening the bag. This is guaranteed with the polyester bag. In addition, life cycle assessments show that bags made of cotton are no more ecological than those made of plastic, which depends in particular on the fact that cotton bags are much heavier and more material-intensive compared to plastic alternatives
Topic China:
We have examined the corresponding options in Europe. China was unbeatable in terms of quality, quantity and product know-how.
Kind regards,
Milena
I bought 4 today.
You can wash them at 30 degrees and use them several times, I think that's a good thing.
