Why can't the senior citizens' card (Migros Aare) be integrated into the app so that no promotions are missed?
Why can't the senior citizens' card (Migros Aare) be integrated into the app so that no promotions are missed?
Hello @hrzimmerli
Thank you for your question. I will be happy to clarify your request with the relevant team and get back to you. Have a great day! Best regards, Nicole
@hrzimmerli
Probably because the senior citizens' card is not a national, but a regional offer from the Migros Aare Cooperative.
Haha I've never heard such nonsense. People are certainly not just getting older "regionally". I'll ask my colleagues who aren't in my region
@Mystery1978
Even if you don't want to believe it: the senior citizens' card is only available from the Migros Aare Cooperative.

But I believe you. I've experienced other promotions like coffee cards Migros restaurant, in the same Migros Aare region, Lenzburg had and Buchs did not. Maybe I'm just not that geographically inclined.

Why is the card only available "regionally" and not "throughout Switzerland"? Elderly people or those with "disabilities" are available throughout Switzerland, including EL. Mr. Duttweiler was probably forgotten at today's Migros. ?
Good morning everyone
@hrzimmerli
Integration is not yet possible for technical reasons. The issue has been submitted to a specialist department and solutions are being examined.

As the Migros cooperatives are managed independently and are responsible for their economic area, there are also different offers depending on the cooperative. Which cooperative do you shop at? I would be happy to ask them what offers they have for older people.
Have a great day! Best regards, Nicole

This would definitely be possible, but it seems that either the technology is out of their depth or they simply don't want it.

In addition to @Nicole_Migros ' answer, I would like to add that Gottlieb Duttweiler has not been forgotten in today's Migros. He himself ensured that Migros is different throughout Switzerland by not founding a single Migros, but by going into the regions and founding his own Migros AG in each of them. At first they were limited companies before they were converted into cooperatives. The only Migros that was founded as a cooperative from the outset is the one in Ticino.
Due to this regionality and the limited economic area, the individual cooperatives are able to offer their own product ranges and implement ideas that may be adopted by other cooperatives. Examples: "From the region. For the region." was developed and introduced by the Lucerne cooperative. The others adopted it after its success became apparent. "VOI" comes from the Aare cooperative and has so far only been adopted by Zurich and Lucerne.
If Duttweiler had really been forgotten, the Migros cooperatives would have been merged into one long ago - as was done at Coop at the beginning of the century. At the time, this meant that the regional initiatives had to be abandoned. I don't want that to happen with Migros, because wherever you are in Switzerland, you can always discover something at Migros that you can't find at home.
