Because particles get into the contents of the PET. The full effects of which on our bodies have not yet been clarified. And that's why I would like to be able to buy mineral water in water bottles.
ok, my motto: sometimes it's better if you don't know everything. Soon we will only be eating organic food if we take everything into account.
Water in PET bottles is unsuitable for the long-term storage of water (keyword: emergency supply) because the plasticizers in the PET get into the water and it initially acquires a bad aftertaste and later becomes undrinkable.

We stopped selling glass bottles some time ago because PET bottles are easier to handle. These can also be returned to the stores for recycling.
