Hello I was very happy about the idea of the insect hotel, which you can get for 40 collection points. The joy was soon gone when I took a closer look at the little house. Insect nesting aids made of pine wood do more harm than good. The insects injure their delicate wings on the fibrous softwood as soon as they reach the frayed entrance. I feel sorry for the animals. Another point of criticism is the material from New Zealand. The timber cultivation there offers no permanent habitat for animals. As soon as the planted trees are big enough, the whole forest is radically cleared. Production in China is the third negative point. Long transport routes are in contrast to a project that is supposed to support the environment. My insect hotel now hangs in the garden with stuffed boreholes. Gluing them shut would also be an option. Pine cones and bamboo tubes are ready for use : ) Conclusion: Brilliant idea, poorly researched, cheaply implemented. Suggestion for another time: Use local hardwood and have insect hotels made in protected Swiss workshops. Sand down frayed drill holes. I would be prepared to collect more points and/or pay an appropriate contribution for the additional financial outlay. Here is the link to a recommended homepage regarding insect nesting aids: https://www.naturgartenfreude.de/wildbienen/nisthilfen/bohrungen-im-hartholz/ Greetings, BeeWild
Was your day a bit stressful today and a bit frustrated? It's ok, everyone has their opinion, just don't be like that :)
That's what happens when you "treat" yourself to some social media, that's what it's there for! If he lets his topic be hyped like that, which is unjustified in my eyes, I can bash it too! Quite simply action, reaction! "I drink, so I go piss" - quote from Merowinger, Matrix movie
Ohh sustainable, it comes from China! And the wood from New Zealand is scandalous! As if wood wouldn't grow back there and transportation is absolutely no disgrace! Should a workshop for the disabled do the work here? is that more sustainable? international trade! Co2 madness or what? So ecologists should think about what happens to nature when you reduce Co2! Have you watched with a magnifying glass how they hurt their wings? I don't think so, make a video about it! I don't mind if robots do it instead of the Chinese! I wouldn't mind that either, but people would howl again! And fusion generators as an energy source for all I care! But you can't trust people to do that! And then? Crude oil is needed for various plastics one way or another, so a small proportion of it is also used for fuel! Now come on, oh no, plastics are sooo bad! Yes, it is, especially in the south, where most of it ends up in the sea because they've been playing around and don't have proper incineration! I'm just sick of professors who want to produce everything in Switzerland! Wake up! The majority of products come from abroad! That's okay, the problems are somewhere else in terms of progress, logistics etc. But that's too high for most people because they live in the past! edit: - 2 words that are not understood.
There is one more point: I would collect even more stickers, a lot of them even! Have you ever noticed that these stickers are free to collect? When I get my orders out there is a whole chain of stickers! These items are all free that you get for the stickers!
It's just an incentive to buy such a sticker system nothing more! Most people buy regularly anyway, and get one, two, three sheets full! If you had to have more stickers, those who don't buy as much as a larger family would have disadvantages, because they don't have the change to get what they want because the quantity is limited!
A small, subtle word with a big impact: set boundaries, keep scrolling, if the topic makes you so furious and unstable that you have to insult, just don't let it trigger you. As I said, everyone has an opinion. But the tone should always remain polite. With all of us.
Yes, you are certainly right about demarcation, but the problem is: (as in politics or otherwise) If only the same type of person deals with a topic and makes some kind of collection of signatures or opinion influencing, you have a monopoly It is no longer important nowadays how many are against it, because often the negative opinion is simply ignored! Even those who agree don't have to be many, as they are often few, but for the individual it seems big! You can also "distance yourself" (used the other way round) by using the media and only shedding light on one side, and you have a "scandal" or something else that doesn't even exist! It's created by a few people and this may influence many people because political or corporate measures are taken! It's like these opinion poll agencies, they pick out the people so that the answer is what they want and then it's grounded yes, but the people want it that way! If you are busy with other things, you don't even notice how slowly something like this creeps through! Therefore, many systems should run completely differently, also politically, the technical possibilities would be available! This is social paternalism and opinion cramming! That's why I stand by my opinion! Since I find it a cheek to present the topic at all! Have you ever thought that the bee lays the egg and devours these brood tubes, is fatter than the young? which flies back and forth without any problems without hurting the wings! besides, the wings are not barbed and microfacetted which provides a good strong surface! (the rest was not for you Bodensee)^^
Sorry, but they are not free. Every customer pays for them, the price of purchasing the "free items" is added to the price of the goods. If these "free promotions" weren't there, the price would be lower. Some make use of them, others don't. But to think it's free is, pardon me, naive. Nobody gives anything away for free. Not in the economy.
Really? how much does it cost? with and without stickers? Edit: it says: "Shelter and nesting aid for various insects and thus a contribution to the preservation of biodiversity in Switzerland. Look forward to exciting insect observations. Available for 40 stickers (2 full trading cards)." So you get one free sticker for every 10 francs you buy. It's a nice idea anyway! All this stuff is for children anyway! At least it's not made of toxic plastic, all good!
Otherwise there are various stores with "professional wild bee boxes in various forms, built in Switzerland! or as a construction set! Should the original bashing be that Migros does not support these Swiss bee boxes? If you reformulate it like this, you could make something out of it! e.g. https://wildbieneundpartner.ch/ 2x such cards for 50% discount or something like that! Additionally as an alternative! (for people who have space in their garden anyway, who don't mind etc.) That would at least be a useful suggestion! Do I now have to send an email to Migros as an idea, or will this be nicely extracted here?
You have misunderstood me, as a customer who has collected stickers and dipped them (after buying for at least 800.-) the hotel is free of charge. But somewhere Migros has to pay the costs of production and promotion (stickers, flyers, cards, advertising in print, TV spot, actor's salary, promo people ect.ect.). Where does the money come from? Exactly, from the profit margin on sales. If it weren't for this promotion, there would be room to lower prices without cutting back on quality and staff. That's what I meant :) and what it says about promoting the hotels doesn't have to correspond to reality if there are facts against it from insect experts, read the points in the posts here, e.g. pine cones? Pointless. And you can find many photos on Google of what bee wings look like from frayed processing. And how moldy larvae look because the tubes are not hollowed out, pests nest in the padding. It's proven. You don't have to bash for no reason - yes. But you don't have to blindly accept everything either, because then there would be no more improvements and things would come to a standstill. And mistakes would always be repeated. This applies to a topic like this one or to social and political issues.
800 in almost 3 months and this is not just food. That's fine. Since you're shopping anyway, you collect automatically, so that's a free bonus. The profit margin is certainly high, but I'm not looking at that in detail right now. But let me put it this way, there's certainly room for improvement in terms of trade, products and sales. I'm not a fan of money finance stuff, but just take a look at Basel's annual report: Net sales: 925 million Profit: 16 million Is that excessive? A large part of it is the wages of the employees, which is part of the economic chain! I'm in favor of robotics and automation, then promote more handicrafts! clearly, but the changeover is not easy, as the robot tax has already been missed in the car industry throughout Europe! This step is not easy to create a transition, but there are approaches! Regarding the box with the red roof, it is an "insect hotel" I don't know how your Google AI reacts to you, but with keywords like: Insect hotel damaged broken wings bee wings, comes up exactly one picture with a bee, otherwise so wooden boxes nothing more, can you list your keywords or link them right away. I also can't find moldy lavas. Maybe some people have set up these boxes wrong? Many points on how not to make such a bee hotel were considered!
The pine cones are more for the children, they can open the door and touch a real pine cone! Not everyone lives in nature! And the people who live close to nature should have long since dealt with it and have long since bought such a box somewhere instead of buying the one from the Migro campaign! This is a good product for a terrace, if a bee comes there at all is already lucky! What is it if you would already deliver lavas? That would be a scandal, the indignation would be high! There is flower seed for the field with butterfly eggs in it. Not everything nod exactly, so I write here not to nod this and to describe my view of things! I am indignant about the indignation! As I said, there are various other points that could be criticized better than an insect house for city children! edit: - 2 words that are not understood. edit: I am also indignant about the fact that no useful suggestions come! Like e.g. my spontaneous idea that they should offer additional vouchers of 50% instead of this little house and this for selected bee hotel sellers that you can order online right away. And this concept with the 50% or something like that to all the Migros or Coop actions where it makes sense and is possible to plan an additional sales campaign with a dealer or a manufacturer! And yes, of course this is regionally preferred, but I don't mind international campaigns, as long as it is useful and "sustainable"! How about instructions on how to cut a piece of wood? and drill a few holes? Could be done in elementary school as a small project, for example, Pimp my Bee Hotel! You could also sand the holes with a file (but that's not necessary because it's not rough! the holes are fine and smooth!) And if the pine cones don't fit, you can build a grid from the glass FSC wooden sticks glued together with eco glue in honeycomb form and replace these said pine cones! You have to do everything yourself! 24/7 with the whip! like Jesus!
Why search for a long time when you can find the answers on the Migros website↵https://www.migrosmagazin.ch/archiv/insektenhotels-ja-aber-bitte-klein and click on the link at the end, very exciting site.↵↵Furthermore, you digress unspeakably from the topic but well, you have your view and that's right, so you have different points of view and that's always a good thing :)↵↵But leave out your repetitive HEIL NWO, extremist right-wing ideas of a "New World Order" from tinfoil hat-wearing nutcases who are now going to demonstrate nicely with their Xavier Naidoo as a mouthpiece - doesn't belong here 😉
The link is from 2014, self-made, that has nothing to do with articles. That HEIL NWO provokes you, fits in, don't let it bother you. It's about the bee hotel from the stickers: https://natureheroes.migros.ch/de/sammeln/insektenhotel/ Everything you have written now is meaningless. I'd rather digress a bit than deal with such things. A NWO is not bad. edit: How is it that you are so active in so many topics? Already abnormally active, is that such a hobby? The house troll who is friendly and twists everything? When I look at your comments on other topics, it's quite funny!
The article is still up to date, nature doesn't change so quickly that what was written doesn't still apply, I don't see a problem with that. Not even my activity, about 2 posts a day over the last 5 years are perfectly fine, some were no longer than two sentences. It's a bit creepy when you stalk and analyze but so be it, you still overtake me with the mass of messages you post, is that a hobby of yours? ;) But yes, I find the forum a nice opportunity to exchange ideas, I don't feel provoked by your NWO slogans but the whole "Wake up!!!" That's all. And with that I wish you a nice Sunday, the sun is shining and it's nice to go out.
The article is current because it's from 2014? and has nothing to do with the Migros article, but you don't want to understand that. What you're doing is called deforming! It's destructive! Something like that even makes it into the newspaper, but with false facts! People like you make up their own reality in their heads and then they're so hairy about it! I just look around a bit at people who seem strange to me, I know the pattern of people's behaviour. An answer that doesn't even consist of 2 sentences is often rather useless, you're just rambling, nothing more! edit: It's not true that the StickerPoints are not free. Denouncing them because of the annual profit is just as unjustified!

Hello everyone Thank you for your valuable opinions. We can well understand your criticism. We have examined in detail the possibility of having the hotels produced either in Switzerland or in Europe. Wherever possible, we make sure that we have the products for our promotions manufactured in Switzerland or in Europe. In addition, all collection elements are produced from sustainable raw materials. For example, all wood, cardboard and paper used for the "Nature Heroes collection promotion" is FSC-certified. We also made sure that the transportation was as sustainable as possible. The insect hotels were transported by ship. We had all CO2 emissions calculated in advance by Myclimate and offset them 1:1. The insect hotels make it possible to observe and support the local insect world up close. The insect hotels are very popular with our customers and are greatly appreciated. Of course, the negative feedback we receive is also very important to us. We have already forwarded your criticism to those responsible so that your input can be taken into account for the future planning of our collection promotions. Is it possible for you to share your answers on your original post? As you have a private profile, I was unable to reply directly to your original post and I think many of those who responded to your post are expecting a reply from us. Have a good day and I hope you understand. Maria

For my part, there was rather criticism of the criticism and possibly useful suggestions on how to expand the actions. I don't know what is meant by: "to share your answers on your original post" how should that work? what, where, should I press that? And with my profile I can't see if it's private or public, and if it's public I don't want people to see my private address or anything like that. I don't see any other posts on this topic, could it be that this forum is connected to another forum and there are updating problems? The title is: "Insect hotels: great idea, poorly implemented" if that helps.

@Cumulus-Infoline - Maria I'm not sure what you mean by private profile either.
