Grosis plum cake

Grosis Plum-Cake

Hello Migros fans
Where did the Grosis Plum Cake go? Branchli-Cake, Schoggi-Cake, Marble-Cake, it's incredibly chocolate-heavy! The plum cake, which was available for several decades, was made from cake batter similar to Gugelhopf, with raisins and a little candied fruit.
Thousands must miss it!

On February 18, 2013, the Plum Cake was mentioned in Migros Magazine No. 8. http://www.migrosmagazin.ch/pdfarchiv/pdf/201308-DMHP1802-041-Schaufenster.pdf

...and until a few years ago there was also an apricot cake that had half hazelnut dough and half normal (yellow) dough with apricot jam in the middle and flaked almonds on top ?
unfortunately it was also taken out of the range ? ?
but maybe the people in charge with the sweet tooth will understand and bring it back into the stores ?

Hello everyone

Thank you for your messages. I am already in the process of clarifying what happened to these cakes.

As soon as I find out anything, I'll get back to you.

Best regards

Tanja

Hello Tanja, is there any news about the missing Grosi's Plum Cake? Greetings and of course all the best for the new year!

...and of course of the missing ? Gourmet apricot cake ?

Hello everyone

Our product managers have informed me that Grosis Plumcake is no longer available - the demand for it was too low. As an alternative, we recommend the Gugelhof Classic with raisins.

The Gourmet Apricot Cake is also no longer so popular in most regions. Most cooperatives have therefore decided to remove the cake from their range. Only in the two regions Migros Genossenschaft Aare and Lucerne is the cake still available.

Kind regards

Tanja

Hello Tanja,
Thank you and I would be happy if you could have it back in Chur occasionally as a "special", it was really delicious ?

Right, and then there was the cake with apricot confiture inside followed by a layer of sponge and a layer of hazelnut dough around it...

I would also like to have it back, I think it was called "Gourmet apricot cake" back then and I loved it, I hope you bring it back, even if it's only 2 or 3 times a year as a "promotion", thank you.

Hello Cooltaz and rollimaus It's great that you have such positive memories of the apricot cake. I have asked our product managers whether there is a possibility of reintroducing this cake. Unfortunately, this is not on the cards, not even as a temporary promotion. I'm sorry we can't meet your request. We still have a chilled Sélection Apricot Cake in our range; I hope you like it too. Kind regards, Angela
