What's wrong with my favorite farmer? Sticks to the foil, falls apart and just doesn't taste good anymore! Have you changed the recipe? I'm disappointed!

We already know a few of them, but certainly an alternative. Thanks for the tip! Even if blackberry/apple is probably difficult to replace...😕
I know there are some combinations in the Farmer bars that Coop unfortunately doesn't offer... That's one of the reasons why I thought Farmer was simply great, but until Migros has worked it out and the bars taste more or less as good as they used to with the new recipe, Farmer is unfortunately not an option for me. I've already tried one or two of these "improved" Farmer bars, but unfortunately they were (sorry for the expression) a complete flop, I didn't like them at all and could hardly eat them. But I'm not giving up hope that Migros will soon get to grips with this and the Farmer bars will taste as good as they used to.

Hello smartcoyote, thank you very much for your message. Even if I now run the risk of repeating the last post: We are still working on optimizing the bars, with the aim of being able to offer them again in the usual and universally popular quality. I ask for your patience. Kind regards, Tabea

Dear Tabea, no problem, you are of course welcome to repeat it. After all, patience is a virtue ;-) Kind regards

Dear M-Infoline I also very much welcome the fact that Migros is producing more and more without palm oil. But unfortunately I have to agree with the other disappointed Farmer fans: today I bit into my beloved Farmer Soft Choc apple and at first I couldn't believe that it no longer tastes the same. It is far too sweet and the consistency is no longer the same. In my opinion, this can't just be down to the palm oil. What a shame!

Well, palm oil is probably a flavor carrier... all anti-palm oil people should just get used to the fact that it tastes different... being against palm oil and eating avocado afterwards is even worse...
Don't be fooled with the palm oil excuse, as if it's because of the few drops of oil that the flavor is so completely different and everything sticks. And not because of the change of manufacturer. Noooo. It's funny that this is always concealed as an answer. They just can't get the recipe and production right. Otherwise every cheese would taste the same, there's not much more than milk and rennet in it. But it works so well with "yes, so it's all down to the palm oil" then you don't ask any more questions.
I don't know of any company that stands up and openly admits when they have problems with production or the like, when they have changed the recipe, and so on. The relevant PR departments are trained and simply give meaningless, wishy-washy answers to such questions - after all, they have to protect the company's reputation, nobody wants a shitstorm or a negative image...
You're probably right. Oh but they are improving, let's hold on to that, and no Migros I don't need to read this for the tenth time thanks :) It just fuels the desire for palm oil now because yahaaa so WITH it was great. When palm oil was in it, it was great!!! Go go palm oil palm oil palm oil bring us back palm oil go! (No. Don't.)
So... I went in search of the recipe for the old Farmer-Stängel Soft Apple. This is the result: OLD recipe: Cereals 29.5% (oats, rice, wheat), sugar, dextrose, soy seeds, raisins 8.9%, dried apples 8%, glucose syrup, palm fat, fructose, humectant (sorbitol syrup), acidulant (citric acid, ascorbic acid), table salt, flavoring. May contain traces of nuts. NEW recipe: Cereals 29% (oats, rice, wheat), glucose syrup, sugar, soybean meal, raisins 9%, glucose, dried apples 8%, sunflower oil, humectants: sorbitol, fructose, table salt, acidifier: citric acid, flavouring. May contain traces of milk, nuts, almonds, hazelnuts, pecan nuts. Now everyone can work out for themselves that it's not just the palm oil, but that one or two other things have been changed!

Thank you so much, you are simply brilliant! I also think it's great that there are people who make this effort, respect!

Hello everyone, thank you for the messages. There has been a change of supplier for the farmers. They are now produced by our own industry (Midor). We also advertise this accordingly on the packaging. This change of supplier has resulted in slight adjustments to the recipes. However, the farmers are not completely new recipes. The existing recipes have largely been retained. Only palm oil has been removed from the recipes in order to meet the growing customer demand for alternatives to palm. It is unavoidable that individual ingredients in the list of ingredients will change slightly. The proportion of saturated fatty acids and sugar, for example, has fallen slightly. This is due to the change in fat. The aim was for the bars to taste the same or better than the existing recipe. Each variety had to go through a tasting panel to find out how popular it was. However, we are aware of the feedback from our customers. As already mentioned in a previous post, we are currently working on the corresponding optimizations so that our farmers taste at least as good as before as soon as possible. Kind regards, Matteo
