I was shocked to discover today that the Eimalzin malt cubes and Sportvit have been replaced by Ovomaltine products. Can this be? I am inconsolable!!!

These here?↵M-Classic SportVit malt cubes | Migros↵https://produkte.migros.ch/m-classic-sportvit-malzwuerfel↵Would love to swap the shelf space for the Eimalzin cubes🙈
Yes, exactly. Not quite as fine, but still better than the Ovo malt bars.

I think it's a shame anyway that more and more branded products are coming to the fore. Migros' unique selling point used to be that it had many own brands, for example. Maybe it would be a good idea (innovative as you say) to do a revival of the former brands. It would make me happy and would certainly attract a lot of former customers to the store. I am of course aware that this is a huge effort, but I would still find it funny.

Hello everyone, thank you for your request. I am sorry that you miss the Eimalzin malt cubes on our shelves. To our regret, the products were not as popular as they were with you. For this reason, we have decided to remove them from our range. Perhaps I can sweeten your day with the Ovomaltine Chocs? The article is not available on migros.ch. Otherwise I would have sent you the link. Best regards, Tabea
It's a real shame that such a "typical Swiss product" is going off the market and is once again being "replaced" with big brand products...

Thanks for the tip. I tried it once, it tastes ok, but I won't buy it again, it's just not the same as Eimalzin, Eimalzin is and remains my favorite. It's a real shame that it's no longer in the range.
I have found a replacement for the Eimalzin cubes, not quite the same, but pretty similar: M Classic SportVit, chocolate-coated malt cubes. A small consolation... *sniff*
Haha... I used to think that too... but it was clear that they would be the next "victim". The Ovo products are not an equivalent substitute...
I also miss them very much. Please add them back to the range!!!
I don't think that will be the case; Migros seems to be taking Malzin out of the range and replacing it with Ovo products. I'm afraid you'll have to make do; or look elsewhere for Malzin products (if they're still available anywhere, online or in another store).

Perhaps the Eimalzin malt cubes will be back in the range in spring, we would be delighted. I think I read somewhere that they will be available from week 14...

That would be nice. In any case, I think that all Eimalzine products that are no longer in the range could be permanently reinstated. Ovomaltine is no substitute for us.
Dear Migros It's so sad that the egg white cubes have simply disappeared from the shelves without a trace. I loved them back in elementary school and that was more than 50 years ago! ChocOvo is no substitute at all, the size, taste and consistency are very different. ChocOvo are certainly good, but not comparable. You wouldn't just sacrifice the legendary Stengelglace to a Magnum, would you? Dear Migros, as a member of the cooperative and therefore a co-owner of Migros, I urge you to put our legendary and beloved malt cubes back on the shelves!!! I still have two packets left, do I have to administer them homeopathically now? A horror scenario!
