It's a shame that Migros Aare has decided to offer an inferior product from abroad - not very sustainable. However, I am amazed by this statement: "The sale of Christmas stollen has always been a niche business for JOWA as a Swiss producer, which has hardly been profitable." (2 years ago) @philippbendel: many thanks for the tips on sensible Christmas stollen. The trip to eastern Switzerland would be a bit far for Christmas stollen ;-) Which cooperatives sell this stollen in addition to eastern Switzerland?

I couldn't find it at Migros Aare. At least in Bern BHF, Marktgasse, Zähringer they only have these "Made in Germany" stollen (if you can even call them that). I have now found a very good substitute for the Jowa stollen outside the Mirgos. Maybe one day it will be available everywhere again... One can hope for understanding... :-) Have a nice weekend!

I assume this is only available in Bern. But you might be able to order it via their webshop: Confiserie Beeler in Bern. It's a butter stollen.

Christstollen 22% butter is written on the front. It costs 9.90. Although I bought it, I couldn't find a picture. It's definitely the one I missed. mfg Esprit 1

Hello Esprit1, I'm glad you found what you were looking for in Basel. As far as the missing picture is concerned, many of the products that we offer exclusively in the cooperatives are not visible on our homepage.
