The Camenbert (MDH 29.05.23 / 6124864) is not white on the inside. Can it still be eaten?

Okay. So same question but related to vegan Camenbert.

The question was asked 8 months ago without Migros giving a "public" answer, the packaging image and the contents are almost always different, everyone has had their own experiences. With almost 60% nut content, the product will be rather brownish? I would describe the product more as a nut slice.

😀👍

Yes, maybe it really does have to be brown, or maybe for some reason it can sometimes be more of a brownish color. However, as I've always eaten vegan soft cheese as white and I'm pregnant, I don't want to take any risks. Under other circumstances I would have simply eaten it. I would therefore be happy to receive an official statement. I returned the cheese to customer services today and was told not to eat it to be on the safe side. Thank you for your feedback. If anyone reading this who eats this cheese regularly and knows the normal color, please let me know.

Hello Jasmin8975, thank you for your inquiry and the photo. We are sorry that the color of the product caused confusion. It's good that you contacted us. Because we can alleviate your concerns. The darker spots are caused by the use of cashew nuts, which are not white. Nothing stands in the way of enjoyment. We hope these lines help to clarify things. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Is it normal that the cheese is gray-brown and not white as in the picture?

Hello skunzlee, thank you for your inquiry. We will be happy to follow up on your tip. For further clarification, please send us the best-before date and the batch number (a combination of numbers and letters). Thank you in advance for your valuable support. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Dear Migros, I don't quite understand: lactic acid is added to this product - so it is not naturally fermented, otherwise the lactic acid would form itself. But the mould is real - so why is it not noted as a ripening culture in the list of ingredients? Is it a traditionally ripened product or not? Thank you for your answer!

Hello Ella_2021, thank you for your question. We produce the declared lactic acid in our product by fermentation and add it to the base mass during our production process. This serves our process safety. We also add the noble mold turf to the base mass by means of bacterial cultures, as is usual with milk-based products. The base undergoes a fermentation and maturing process, which promotes the growth of the noble mold. It is therefore a fermented and matured product that is not labeled as such. Hello, for a person intolerant to milk in its entirety, can lactic acid present a problem?

Hello migalor, lactic acid, which is used in foodstuffs as an acidifier (additive E 270), has nothing to do with milk apart from its name. It is produced by biotechnology from starch (usually corn or potato starch) using lactic acid bacteria, and is therefore free from milk components. See you soon, your M-Infoline team

What does the white border consist of?

Hi Michi2000, the "white edge" is vegan noble mold turf, as you know it from camembert products. Simply grown on a vegan cashew nut paste. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello Why has the Newroots cheese been removed from the range, or is no longer available, or why is Migros allowed to simply copy the cheese and sell it under its own name and push down the prices? I think this is a cheek. I rarely write to a major distributor, but I have followed the success of the original Newroots cheese from the very beginning and I think it's simply cheeky. I look forward to your explanation. Kind regards Eva

Hello Moigu, thank you for your message. Unfortunately, without a precise description, it is not clear to us which New Roots product you are referring to. In general, we can tell you that the manufacturer no longer had the capacity to supply us at the time. To ensure that our customers do not go away empty-handed, we have developed our own recipes to meet the increasing demand for plant-based products. As V-Love is a private label, we have more leeway in terms of price and are not bound by the producer's regulations. We hope this information helps you. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

What can I do to ensure that this product is offered in my favorite store? :D

Hello fussel_, thank you very much for the message. What is your main branch? Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hi :) My favorite branch is the Migros in Wittenbach SG, and my second most-visited Migros is the one in Zurich at Rigiblickplatz :D

Hello fussel_, we were happy to make enquiries with the relevant specialist department. Unfortunately, we are unable to add the product V-Love The Softy Nature vegan to our range in the Wittenbach branch due to limited space. This product is available in the St. Fiden branch. Perhaps you will have the opportunity to visit this branch? We're sorry we can't give you a better answer. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, which crop do cashew nuts come from? And can you lower the price of this product because we're not all rich, especially me as a student!

Hello DStraub, cashew nuts come from India. Unfortunately, cashew nuts don't grow in Switzerland. The product has its price because the raw material is rather expensive and the manufacturing process is unfortunately still very complex today. However, we always strive to offer our customers the best possible price. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

"The information is currently not displayed due to technical difficulties. However, we are already working on it."................. We have been reading this sentence for years! No customer can understand this justification because the nutrients and ingredients are not displayed! Where are the competent IT people????????? Nowadays, it shouldn't be a problem to enter all the information when the product is displayed. So Migros, after all these years, finally come up with something!

Hello indios, we know that we still have room for improvement in this area. As you already know, we are currently working on a solution. Unfortunately, it's not just a matter of typing in and uploading data. The situation is complex and all system databases have to communicate with each other and be coordinated. We therefore ask for your understanding and a little patience. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
