The pasta is very fine. My wife loves them more than anything. But I would be interested to know the nutritional values when cooked. Is it possible to obtain these? It would be easier for calculating the daily calorie intake. Thank you.

Cooking water (water, salt) has zero kcal.

@tonimaula pasta swells up by about 50% of its dry weight when cooked; so 100g of dry pasta corresponds to about 200g of cooked pasta. This varies depending on the type and cooking time; it is best to weigh the dry pasta and weigh it again after cooking; then you will know exactly how much water has been absorbed. Regarding the nutritional values: assuming the pasta absorbs 50% of its dry weight in water, the nutritional values per 100g of cooked pasta are halved. Of course, the nutrients are all retained; only the volume changes.

Hello tonimaula. As already mentioned, pasta absorbs about twice the amount of water when cooked. For 100g of raw pasta (363kcal), this would be approx. 200g cooked and also 363kcal. However, the water absorption factor depends on the cooking time. To find out the factor, you can weigh the pasta before and after cooking, as suggested by Kurumi. The nutritional values remain the same, as water and salt have no calories. We hope we were able to answer your question and wish you a good afternoon! your M-Infoline Team
