Philadelphia cottage cheese is very grainy. The grains have a rather dry texture, which makes the cottage cheese taste a bit sour and bitter. I like to eat cottage cheese plain. I don’t like this Philadelphia brand very much on its own. I miss the creaminess and mildness. However, I can definitely see it being well-suited for baking. For example, mixed with an egg and fried in a pan to make a kind of pancake. But on its own, I really don’t think it’s that great.
