We assume that you associate the broken wings with rearing, where the animals are fattened up too quickly and can therefore no longer hold their own weight. This would occur in the legs and not in the wings. Furthermore, in Switzerland there are clear guidelines on animal husbandry (e.g. with regard to the size and weight a chicken may reach within a certain time frame). As part of the Optigal program, we even go beyond the Swiss animal welfare regulations. For example, the chickens have more space than required by law or more perching opportunities.
