Summarized ...

«Customers report multiple issues with the robotic lawnmower, including difficulties with installation and programming limitations. Common problems include the mower not reaching lawn edges, frequent error messages, and getting stuck due to wheel slippage or inability to handle slopes over 20 degrees. There are also complaints about poor post-purchase support and the mower malfunctioning shortly after purchase.»

For your information, the same model of lawnmower is sold (in green) elsewhere, for 199 francs and with a 5-year warranty. Useful to know if Migros shares at 50% are no longer relevant...

I bought the robot last week (50% off) and at this price it is good. The installation is not so easy. 1) If you stick to the 35cm distance for laying the boundary wire, the robot does not mow right up to the edge and leaves a 10cm wide unmown area. I have therefore chosen a distance of 20-25cm and this works well. Where there are stone slabs at the edge of the lawn, you can even go to 10-15 cm, then the robot drives 50% on the lawn and the slabs. 2) During installation, it is annoying that the charging platform must be on the lawn at a distance of approx. 1 meter (rear) and 2 meters in front on the boundary wire. This means that the station cannot be hidden in a niche at the edge of the lawn. This means that the charging station must always be fully visible on the lawn, otherwise the robot will not be able to find its way in. 3) The time programming is very modest. You can only specify the start time (e.g. 8h00). After that, the robot decides for itself when to drive. Even overnight. It is problematic if the robot runs at night and massacres snails. (I had 5 on the first night). If you want to use a timer, the robot stops somewhere when the power to the demarcation line is switched off. You then have to restart it manually or place the robot on the station to recharge. 4) The robot can only tolerate a ground slope of 20 degrees. This means that it comes to a standstill on slopes of more than 20 degrees or the wheels turn on empty. Conclusion. For the price and for very flat lawns, the RM18 is an inexpensive and practical solution. It mows well and quietly. It comes with enough wire, attachment material and even 4 spare blades. At a special offer price of 50%, you can hardly go wrong. The robot also comes with a 3-year guarantee. So far I'm satisfied with it. 3 stars is a bit harsh, 4 stars would be too much. So my grade is 3.5 satisfying

OK for the price. Does what it should.

Would give 0 stars. Really a cheap device with very limited programming options. Better spend a little more and buy something better.

Poor quality product. Worked for a week correctly and afterwards gave error signals by no longer recognizing the route cable. After sales and installation assistance absent.

This is the same model as the one available from Landi. The customer service at Landi was disastrous, so I switched to the Migros model, which has worked perfectly well to date (and is in a nicer color, by the way).

Poor product and especially the after sales service. The robot creates holes in the ground and now it is starting to go crazy...it spins on itself...different error message every time...it comes out of the perimeter wire...etc.I tried to contact the hotline to find out how to download the software upgrade but they were unable to give me an answer...poor after sales service.I hope to receive a response

I'm looking for a protection for the charging station of the rm18 robot.

The installation went pretty well, but the instructions leave many questions unanswered. Unfortunately, the wheels often spin and the robot lawn mower stops somewhere as a result. Super tedious... I'm thinking of buying a different model!

Looks exactly like the lawn robot from Landi! there it is in green color and costs CHF 339.- often stops, the wheels spin.
