Where do the organic mung bean sprouts come from? Unfortunately it says "-" under origin. Apparently products from Asia are harmful to health in most cases! Thank you for your prompt reply. Please also declare the products in the app.

Hello san23, thank you for your question. We will be happy to check this for you - please let us know in which region you purchased your pack. If you can also find a best-before date and lot number on the packaging, you can also provide us with these. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Zurich region. I don't have a lot no. etc., I would like to know in general where you source this product or where the seeds come from. Does this change all the time?

Does Migros have something to hide here or why is there no answer?

Maybe the question got lost? In Migros Aare it is a product from the region as far as I think I have seen...

Hello sna23, thank you very much for your message and your interest in our mung bean sprouts. We have forwarded your message to the relevant specialist department and to our supplier, Egli's frische Küchenkräuter AG. Investigations have revealed that the sprouts in question are currently coming from Switzerland. As long as this stock lasts, no goods will be imported. We hope that we have been of service to you with this information. Kind regards, your M-Infoline Team

Dear Migros Would it be possible to offer a smaller pack again? I often have to throw away the rest of the sprouts because it's just too much for 2 people. Thank you very much.

Hello JulianeB123, thank you for your message about the organic mung bean sprouts. Please let us know in which region you buy so that we can clarify your request with the cooperative concerned. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

That would be for Migros City of Zurich.

Dear Migros, why have the small CHF 1.50 packages disappeared from the shelves everywhere in Bern? This was the perfect size for single households and prevented food waste. I often have to throw some of the large packaging away as it deteriorates very quickly, which I find a real shame and sad

Hello Ladicau Thank you for contacting us. We have discussed your message with the responsible specialist department. Unfortunately, we have to inform you that the smaller packaging of organic mung sprouts has been removed from the range due to falling demand and high spoilage. We regret that this is a cause for complaint. Such measures are disappointing for us too. We are sorry that we cannot give you better news and wish you a pleasant summertime. your M-Infoline Team

As I consume this product frequently, I would like to ask two questions: 1) the product often smells a bit fermented, have you carried out any research into which microorganism groups this is due to? It doesn't smell like lactic acid fermentation.... 2) Is the product germinated and cultivated in Switzerland? Hor-sols I assume? Thanks for the answers

Hello Wouldn't it be possible for organic quality seeds not to come from China/Australia, but also from Switzerland or at least Europe? The organic certificate and Swiss cross on the front and the information 'seeds from China/Australia' on the back of the pack are somewhat confusing... Thank you very much for any information! Kind regards, Barbara Steinmann

Hello barbarast, we will be happy to clarify your question regarding the origin. This article is procured by the respective cooperative itself. So that we can contact the relevant cooperative, we would ask you to let us know where you are buying it. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello The mung bean sprouts are from the store in Zurich. My question relates to the origin of the seeds, which were not printed individually. However, bioschmid gmbh is printed as the supplier. best regards

Dear guest. At the moment, the decisive factor is quality and availability. Mung beans are still mainly grown in India and only very occasionally in Europe. This is due to the plant's tradition and climatic requirements. It is very important to us to move closer to seed production. For this reason, a supplier launched a 5-year seed project this summer. If successful, we hope to be able to use seeds from Switzerland in the future. We hope this information is helpful and wish you a good day. your M-Infoline Team

Thank you very much for the information. I'm looking forward to the day when I find the information on the packet that the seeds come from Switzerland! Best regards, Barbara Steinmann

We often eat mung bean sprouts, either as vegetables or in salads. But a 250g bag is very big for two. We recently found bags of 100g in the Bahnhofmigros in Zurich. It would be great if this size were also available in Migros Lucerne. We prefer to buy sprouts fresh several times.

We have forwarded your feedback as a suggestion from the specialist department.

We regularly review our products and services. Quality and customer acceptance are particularly important to us.
However, we cannot promise you that we will implement the packaging.
Thank you very much for your understanding and for drawing our attention, as an interested person, to the points where we can still improve. Your M-Infoline team

Do the sprouts for salads also have to be blanched or can they also be eaten raw?

@san-dra: The mung bean sprouts can also be used raw for/as a salad.

Hello san-dra
Thank you for your interest.
Mung bean sprouts can be eaten both raw and cooked. They are particularly good raw in salads.
We wish you an enjoyable week.
Best wishes from the M-Infoline team
