A distinction is made between long and short-boiled rice, basmati, jasmine and rice pudding. What type of rice is this flour made from?
Hello, dear Migros team
I have a question about the production process of this rice flour.
Is the rice "pre-cooked" before it is milled? I consume the rice flour raw (water + rice flour + whey protein) I have been using it as a weight gainer for my fitness goals for about a year now. So far I have no digestive problems or other side effects but I would be very curious about the manufacturing process of this flour as the consumption of raw rice is certainly not optimal.
Thank you for clarifying the manufacturing process
Greetings
Hello Gast56, our rice flour is milled from raw rice. We therefore recommend cooking the rice flour before consumption, as indicated on the packaging. Cooking not only makes the rice flour more digestible, but also allows it to develop its full flavor. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

I'm going to try rice flour for Easter cakes for the first time this year. I would also be interested in a mochi recipe 🤗 Could you please send it to me? Thank you 😘
Hello Ella_1964, thank you for the question. We hope that the Easter cakes turned out well! Unfortunately, we don't have a mochi recipe at Migusto. But maybe you would like to try the following recipe: https://www.kuechengoetter.de/rezepte/japanische-mochi-96357? Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Can I use the rice flour on its own or in combination with other flours, e.g. other gluten-free flours?
Hi LarsR, Rice flour is often used as a binding agent in Asian dishes, especially for sauces and desserts. It can therefore be used as a good alternative to cornstarch. Rice flour is only suitable as a wheat flour substitute to a limited extent. It is not suitable for airy baked goods such as muffins, sponge cakes etc. As the flour lacks gluten, the dough would not rise in the oven. However, rice flour can be used for flat baked goods such as flatbread.
If you want to bake gluten-free bread, it is advisable to combine rice flour with other types of gluten-free flour. Wheat flour cannot be replaced 1:1 with Asian flour. It is therefore best to consciously use gluten-free recipes when baking. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Is this glutinous rice flour or normal rice flour?
Hello Loba77, thank you for your question. This is normal rice flour. PS: It is also good for mochi. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Can you make mochi with it? Or is it not suitable?
Hello Dave1990, thank you for your request. Unfortunately, the clarifications took a little longer. Our supplier has tested making mochi with this flour and it worked very well. We will send you the recipe used privately. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
