Why hasn't the vinegar been available in the Kreuzlingen branch of Ceha for months?

Has the vinegar changed in its ingredients? Vinegar used to have a stronger taste. Today it looks more like a white wine vinegar than red wine.
Hello Silversurfer, thank you for your question. A few years ago, we changed our supplier for M-Classic red wine vinegar. We largely adopted the recipe, with only minor changes. We have not made any further adjustments recently. It is possible that the color may change. The color pigments contained in red wine can react with a change in color when stored in strong light or with increased oxygen exposure. In the case of red wine vinegar, the antioxidant potassium metabisulphite (E224) should counteract the color change caused by oxidation. However, the antioxidant stabilizes the quality of the red wine vinegar despite the colour change so that the vinegar is still edible. We hope you enjoy your vinegar again in the future!
