Hello Maula, you will find the indication of origin on the packaging. Is it empty? Can you send us a picture in which all the information is clearly visible, thank you. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Details of origin should be on the packaging in the store, Migipedia leaves it open, as it can probably change all the time, but it's worth clicking on Migros Online, where at least one country of origin is declared. I don't know how long it has been up to date.

Hello Winterthur1, thank you very much for your feedback. Can you please explain in more detail what you mean by that? Many thanks and best regards, your M-Infoline team

First we ship all the scrap to China and then we get cutlery back from Cucina & Tavola. Ships that need endless diesel oil and are on the road for 4 weeks. Then by truck through half of Europe! Strawberries from Almaria, which grow under plastic and have a cocktail of pesticides behind them, are not exactly sustainable either. Although they adhere to the permitted quantities of individual sprays, they circumvent this by mixing a cocktail. This also applies to tomatoes etc. from Spain. The demand is not really there, especially for strawberries in winter. In the case of beef from Brazil, rainforests are still being cut down to breed cattle. In order to obtain the label, the cattle are then "relocated" to another farm for a few weeks to rehabilitate them. This is not sustainable and is a scam! Migros should set a good example and consider European producers, even if this makes the product a little more expensive.

Hello Winterthur1, thank you very much for your answer. The influence of transportation on the CO2 balance of a product is generally overestimated. Ships transport up to 20,000 containers. This is more efficient per kilo than you might think. This is why transportation is weighted less heavily in the M-Check. Strawberries in winter are very important to some customers. We understand that this is not the case for you. We assure you: we are constantly reviewing our product range and items that are not in demand will be removed from the range. In principle, Migros does not offer beef from Brazil. If beef from South America is offered, it comes from pasture-fed cattle from Uruquay and Paraquay. This type of production is appropriate to the location and justifiable. We always try to offer you the best possible price-performance ratio - we are happy to accommodate your request. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
