What type of flour does this product contain? Why is it not declared anywhere?

Hello mailawb, flour types are mainly declared on flour packaging in Germany and France. The flour type indicates how many minerals in mg per 100 g of flour are contained in the dry matter and depends on the degree of grinding. Most customers in Switzerland are not familiar with this information on flour types and it is therefore not printed on the packaging.

In Switzerland, the term is only used within the industry, but the term "Mehlyp", "Type farine" or "Farino tipo" appears repeatedly on German, French and Italian packaging and causes confusion. M-Budget household flour corresponds to a normal white flour type 400. Kind regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello Is MBudget household flour still made from 100% Swiss wheat? Why is the origin not declared on the packaging? Yours sincerely

Hello PIALpolitur20, thank you for your inquiry about M-Budget household flour. The product still contains 100% Swiss wheat. We declare this on the back with the words "Produit suisse". Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Dear M-Infoline Team Is the flour vegan or has it not been treated with the animal-based L-cysteine (E 920) flour treatment agent? Are the additives in the products generally also shown on the list of ingredients? LG

Hello Alnatura_Liebhaber, the household flour M-Budget does not contain L-cysteine (E920); this would otherwise be stated in the list of ingredients. Additives are subject to declaration. In this context, you may be interested to know that L-cysteine is no longer usually of animal origin, but is mainly produced using biotechnological processes in which bacteria produce large quantities of the desired cysteine from sugar and some mineral salts. You write below that this flour is 100% Swiss. Does this mean that the wheat used in M-Budget household flour was or is still grown exclusively (100%) in Switzerland and is not imported?

Hello ivan92, your assumption is correct. The wheat comes exclusively from Switzerland. It is still a 100% Swiss product. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

was the flour lightened ? is something added to the flour ? what method was used to grind the flour ?

Hello Dokter_Hund Thank you for your contribution. We are pleased that you are one of our valued customers and would like to inform you that M-Budget flour is made from 100% soft wheat and no other additives are added. M-Budget household flour is a type 550 white flour with a milling ratio of around 65%. This means that most of the flour comes from the flour kernel, which is light in color. In the mill, the grain is ground using so-called roller mills with different rollers. The wheat is milled in several steps and sieved at the same time so that the desired fineness and brightness can be achieved. We hope our answer has clarified things for you and wish you a sunny day. Best wishes Josh Your M-Infoline team
