10 questions

Hello M-Infoline, the best before date on the pack is 30.4.2026 13:21 and L2019366109 283 3 - could you find out where the beans come from and when they were roasted? Best regards :-)

Hello lxp, the coffee was roasted on 09.10.2024 and contains beans from Vietnam and India. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello - Does this coffee contain only Robusta or also Arabica?

Hi Conqui, thank you very much for your question. According to consultation with our specialist department, only Robusta beans are used in M-Budget espresso coffee beans. Hopefully we were able to help you with our answer. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

I bought these beans for the first time and so far I am very impressed. But I have one more question: Why is there no indication of the origin of the coffee? As a consumer, I would be interested to know. Thank you for the information!

Hello MrBudgetCoffee, thank you for your question. As the origin can change depending on the availability of the raw material, it is not indicated on the packaging. If you give us the production data (best-before date + lot number) of your pack, we can check where the coffee comes from. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Does the M-Budget Espresso still exist? It seems to be sold out everywhere.

Hello Ela545, thank you for your question. We no longer have these beans in our range. This is because demand was unfortunately too low. As an alternative, we would be happy to recommend the Boncampo Intenso beans (article number 1071.939) - perhaps you would like these as well? Best regards, your M-Infoline team

It really is a very good coffee, but couldn't it also be utz certified? Coop Kaffe Prix Garantie is too. That would be great. Kind regards

Grüezi M-Infoline, thank you very much for your answer. I have already read reports about pesticides in coffee cultivation. I would therefore be interested to know whether the M-Budget Espresso Beans coffee has ever been tested in a laboratory. With the snapshot you could weigh up whether you want to stay with the coffee or switch to an organic coffee that is about 4x more expensive. The price difference is enormous, hence the skepticism towards cheap products. On Codecheck, for example, it would be transparent for all to see. Kind regards M.Studer

Hello mstuder, thank you for your feedback. M-Budget coffee is regularly tested for pesticides and if these were above the legal limit, it would not even end up on the shelves. However, organic coffee has a zero tolerance for pesticides. However, all the other coffees we have in our range are UTZ certified. With UTZ-certified coffees, attention is paid to production with few pesticides. The origin of the coffees can also be traced via UTZ tracers. We hope this has helped you and wish you a good day. Hello, is there a laboratory analysis of how much chemistry is in the product? I think the quality is very good for the price, but I prefer organic products. But in the office we drink the M-Budget espresso.

Hoi mstuder Thank you for your inquiry - we are very pleased about your interest. There are no chemicals in M-Budget coffee. The coffee is harvested and processed in the country of origin. This includes the removal of the pulp, size sorting and drying of the coffee beans. The green coffee is then sent to us, where we blend, roast and pack it according to a special recipe. The difference to other coffees lies in the blend. Different types of coffee and different blending ratios are used for M-Budget coffee, so you can enjoy the coffee without any worries. See you soon in your Migros! Best regards from the M-Infoline team

Thank you for investigating this further. The coffee was bought in Aarau in July and has the expiry date 31.05.2014 and is L000...0119. She has loved the Migros coffee in the past (I think it was M-Classic), but she said this one is not at all like the others she's had and couldn't continue drinking it. I saw another post of someone saying there were variations in quality (sour/bitter).

Hello bernadetteperth
Thank you for your message.
Our supplier has sampled the relevant retain sample but was unable to identify any deviations in quality. The coffee corresponded to the required flavour profile. Neither have there been any changes to the recipe over the last few years.
The flavour of the coffee is dependent on the blend as well as the method of preparation, grinding of the beans and the water quality. Filter coffees are always somewhat more acidic whereas mochas have a more bitter flavour.
We hope this information has been of use. Enjoy the rest of the week!

We just brought this coffee (L...119 production) back to England for our Swiss expat relative (mum/mother-in-law) and she finds it so bitter and burnt it's undrinkable. A shame, because we bought 4 bags!

Hi bernadetteperth
Thank you for your valuable feedback – your opinion is important to us.
We are very sorry to hear that your relative did not enjoy the Espresso from M-Budget.
We would like to investigate this matter further. Please send us the M-Data (date of sale/ use by date) and batch or lot number for the item in question.
Have a good weekend!
Best wishes

The coffee doesn't taste bad. What is strange is that pieces of wood occasionally
appear in the beans. Did they end up in there by chance?

Hello
Thank you very much for your tip.
We are also very surprised that you found pieces of wood in the coffee. Please send us a copy of the foreign objects so that we can send it to the manufacturer for a statement. Or send it directly to the manufacturer for faster processing. You will then receive a response.
