The packaging was changed a long time ago. In my opinion, the disadvantages outweigh the advantages, especially for small households that don't eat the whole salad in one go. Firstly, the material consumption is higher, as the packaging is about 20 cm overhanging. Secondly, the packaging makes a lot of "noise" and, above all, it tears when opened and the salad cannot be put back in it.

We pack the salad for the following reasons:
- Better freshness of the salad is guaranteed
- It is helpful for customers that we can put a date on the bag
- The lettuce is better protected and is protected from contamination of any kind
Depending on the size, the salads are either larger or smaller. As the salads are packed by machine, a buffer had to be included. As a result, the packaging may be slightly too large.
In fact, the packaging is somewhat delicate and must be opened very carefully. Ideally, you should at least be able to cover the cut of the used lettuce with the bag.

I think the quality of the lettuce leaves a lot to be desired, it is often rotten and brown on the inside, even on the first day. Oak leaf lettuce is particularly affected.
