Summarized ...

«Customers generally praise this bread for its great taste, freshness, and long shelf life, making it a family favorite. However, some reviewers express disappointment regarding its lack of a strong sourdough flavor and the inclusion of yeast, which they feel detracts from its authenticity. Overall, it remains a highly-rated choice for many.»

The new favorite bread in our family. :-) It stays moist for a super long time and retains its crispness for several days. If you like a sour taste, this is probably not the right bread for you, as you can (only) taste it very subtly. But our children love it now.

Zero stars! I am very disappointed with this bread. 400 g sourdough bread was previously available in Wil SG, which was very fine and the dough was dark. It came very close to a sourdough bread and also tasted slightly sour. Unfortunately, this bread is no longer available...... This 500 g loaf with the label "new recipe" is new. The composition and nutritional values have changed, but the bread is like a Bürli bread. It is light on the inside, not compact like a sourdough bread and doesn't taste like one either. One wonders where the rye flour is..... Once again it becomes clear that the in-house bakery has absolutely no experience with bread. Go to the Coop in Rickenbach and see what kind of bread they offer. Or even better, go to Germany. I also often bake sourdough bread. But this bread has absolutely nothing to do with sourdough bread, neither in terms of color nor consistency, and certainly not in terms of taste.
At least go back to the previous recipe, the 500 g size is good.

The bread is good and stays moist for a long time. The consistency and taste reminds me a little of the Happy Bread that I also like to buy. But sorry, it has nothing to do with a typical sourdough bread, neither in terms of consistency nor taste. A typical sourdough bread is made from 100% rye sourdough, rye flour, water, salt, caraway, coriander, aniseed and fennel seeds, according to the Bakers' Association. The bread must have a crispy, cracking crust, must not be airy but compact with small bubbles and must stay fresh for a long time. Therefore only 2 stars here.
