Dear Migros, what happened to the vegan plait? I suddenly can't find it in the Migros Schweizerhof in Lucerne, and now I can't find it by searching here either. Is it no longer there? It was so delicious.

Hello Celinem, thank you very much for your message. How nice that you enjoyed the vegan plait! In view of your description, I understand why you don't want to miss out on the pleasure. Unfortunately, not all of our customers liked the variant as much as you did. Due to declining demand, we decided to discontinue the product. Naturally, I informed our specialist department of your wish to be able to buy your favorite from us again. We will continue to pursue the issue. You may be pleased to read that we are already looking for an alternative. Kind regards, Tabea
A real shame. There are several people in our family with a milk protein intolerance and this was one of the few opportunities not to have to go without a plait and enjoy what others take for granted. As a person with a milk allergy, you are already severely restricted in your everyday life and the plait you offered was simply fantastic. It's a shame that you are taking away such a delicious alternative from people who have hardly any alternatives due to allergies.
We loved the plait too. It was first available in our village, then no longer. Okay, understandably demand was too low. Then we just went to Spreiti or Wettingen, then only at weekends and now not at all 🤷♀️. We're not vegan, but lactose intolerant, so it was perfect for us! By the way, we really appreciated and loved the vegan Grittibänze!
I also think it's a shame that the plait is no longer available. I am lactose intolerant and I could enjoy Sunday brunch with the family with this plait :-(

Dear Migros We also think it's a shame that the plait is no longer available. As it was only available in MMM Thun and not in Frutigen, we usually bought 4 pieces when we did our big monthly shop and froze them. I'm neither vegan nor vegetarian, but the plait was amazing and definitely on a par. I also buy other V Love products. We would be delighted if the plait were given a second chance.
I feel exactly the same. The plait was an integral part of every weekend breakfast. Even back then, I noticed that the packaging can be very off-putting for non-vegans. The big labels and the green color. I always brought the plait to the office repackaged and everyone was delighted. Especially those who would never have bought a vegan plait.

Yes, you said the right thing: the whole visual presentation of this label seems a bit strange. But the worst thing is the stupid name: V-LOVE. Well, I can do something with M-Budget, I know what it means. But what am I supposed to do with V-LOVE? It just seems silly to me. Better - and much clearer - would be M-VEGAN, @M-Infoline!

I don't agree... I think vlove is better than karma...for example

Are you familiar with lactase tablets? You can buy them in pharmacies, various stores or online. So you can also enjoy dairy products as an LI sufferer. Even your beloved plait with milk and butter in it.
Don't get me wrong, but I think people with lactose intolerance KNOW about lactase tablets. It's as obvious that you know it as insulin is for diabetics. But for some people there's just something against it or they don't always want to take it, so they give up lactose-containing products and limit themselves, hence the desire for at least one product that they can eat. I'm aware that a vegan braid, whether for vegans or lactose intolerants, will never be popular, unlike the "normal" braids. But every customer is grateful IF there is at least this one option. And if you say like 100'000 butter plaits but only 5'000 vegan plaits sold (fictitious invented numbers) then 5000 people were happy and glad THAT they have this product. But I understand that a big company does not want to make the fringe groups happy with fringe products, if you can earn better and more with "normal products" but it is a pity.
I was simply unaware of the tablets and only discovered them months after the LI diagnosis. My family doctor didn't think it was necessary to explain it to me. That's why I wrote this here. It could really be that someone doesn't know this yet🙂

It's a great pity that it no longer exists. We used to buy it every Saturday. Even my non-vegan husband liked it very much. We miss it very much. We would be happy to see it again.
