Raclette spices always contain salt. Sometimes even up to 25% Why? I don't want salt on my raclette cheese, I want some tasty herbs. What do you think, dear community?

Salt, and unfortunately also sugar, is a cheap filler. Weight goes up, price too. Even if the product itself does not have the actual value of the price... Chicken breast is also plumped up with water to make it heavier and thus more expensive to sell. As is so often the case, the customer is the one who suffers... As so often senseless...
Yes, unfortunately things like that are done. With salt and sugar, you need less of the other stuff. And both are flavor enhancers. That's why you have to be careful and buy your products where you are safe, and therefore as few "feritg products" as possible. It's better to take the time to stand at the stove yourself, e.g. to make a delicious pizza. The homemade version beats any off the shelf. Nothing against those on the shelf. They should be bought by those who don't have time and are happy with them. That's why I make almost all my own herb mixes. The internet is full of them. And the balcony provides fresh herbs that can be dried and made into a great mix. The herb butter is so delicious that my guests want to buy a roll each.
Hello everyone, for those of you who prefer to buy it, you can find this product without salt here: https://www.migros.ch/en/product/106305800000?context=instore. I hope you enjoy the start of the raclette season. Best regards, Chloe
Dear Chloe, thanks for the tip. But I want a mixture of herbs on my raclette, not pepper with nutmeg. So this is not a suitable alternative at all. Greetings Maya

How wonderful the old days were

That's right, because salt can quickly be too much with cheese. Buy the individual spices and mix them yourself. There may be a large quantity, but the Reclette consumption will come with the cold days.

Super. Thank you very much.
Yes, you're right and I understand, but as I said, it's not the answer to a request, but a logical approach when the feedback comes that no product of this kind is planned. someone recently asked if you could offer blevita with peanut butter in between, so I ask myself yes, you can spread it yourself, but it's not my need, so why should I poop in there with "spread it yourself" and thus make the person's wish null and void😅
Great idea. It's more difficult with alcohol, of course. Doing it yourself doesn't have to apply to everything. But if you make a lot yourself, you know what's in it and how it was made. It also increases your knowledge of the products and gives you a good appreciation of the cause. So keep up the good work.
Bodenseeknusperli, I understand your point. But if there is no raclette seasoning without salt, it's a good idea to mix it yourself quickly. Most of the time you already have the basic spices at home anyway and mixing them together takes less than 2 minutes. And if you're making a large quantity, it's sure to keep for a year. And I'm not saying that if you don't like the alcohol in Generoso, make it yourself😊.
Nothing is unnecessary and certainly not the tip to try it yourself. But that doesn't have to apply to everything. Nobody builds a car themselves. So use your common sense and weigh up what you can do with little effort and you're done. All the best.
Oh dear, what a discussion about neglecting prosperity again... Agreed: There's no need for salt in raclette seasoning. More importantly, there's no need for raclette seasoning. Pepper mill, paprika, cayenne pepper, nutmeg, onion and garlic powder, various herbs on the table and everyone sprinkles as much as they like and a little differently on each slice. We've been doing this creatively for half a century and it should actually still work in times of total digitalization if not all brain functions have been delegated to AI.
Super. Thank you very much.
You're thanking me for your own post? 🤔 Ok, I'm really starting to see and read everything here. Or there are bots buzzing around again...
