There it is again at last, loyal community members will think. The direct message function. It is now possible (again) to write directly to other members and community managers. The only requirement is that the recipient must have allowed messages to be sent. At the start, all community members will be able to be written to. If you don't want this, you can deactivate private messages in your own profile under "Edit profile". And this is how to send a direct message: If you open a discussion in the Migipedia forum, you will see a small letter icon next to the name of another member, provided that the member would like to receive mail. If you click on the letter symbol, a window opens. The message can be written and sent there. Migipedia then becomes the postman and delivers the message to the recipient's mailbox. To do this, we use the e-mail address from the Migros login. A corresponding button takes you back to Migipedia, you can reply to the sender - we in turn become the postman - and you are already in a private message exchange. Other community members can also be contacted directly from their profile. A few words about security: Since Migipedia is the postman, the sender and recipient do not see each other's e-mail addresses unless you include the e-mail address in the messages. You will also be asked for the first time whether you are "not a robot". We want to prevent your mailbox from being flooded with spam via Migipedia. The Migipedia rules also apply to direct messages. Anyone who does not comply with these rules must expect a recipient to report the message to the community management. And then there will be mail from my colleagues, from me or the "bad" sender will be excluded directly. So, once again, stick to the rules of the game.E-mails in an adapted designWe had to create new e-mails for the direct messages. We took this opportunity to revise the appearance of the emails for the forum notifications. The emails are more modern, better structured and offer more content. For example, you can already see in the e-mail which post another person has responded to. The forum e-mails also contain teasers about current discussions. I can imagine that those who are often in the forum find these teasers superfluous. But I am convinced that there are many relevant topics being discussed in the forum that we don't want to withhold from anyone.Magic now also for reviews and questionsIn Update 6, I introduced you to "Product Link Magic". Anyone who inserts a complete product link from migipedia.ch or produkte.migros.ch into a discussion in the forum automatically generates a product tile. The function is being used and the overview in discussions about products has improved. For this reason, the function is now also available for product reviews and questions and answers about products on Migipedia.
