By law, it is not the market that determines Migros' behavior, but the cooperative members and the cooperative's articles of association.
However, these cooperative members have criminally failed to exert any influence in the past. Migros also lacks a mechanism to ensure that the "founding spirit", adapted to our times, is taken into account. There should be some kind of ethics committee that constantly analyzes and, if necessary, influences Migros' policy ... this should not simply be determined by the market or a "fashion".
Farm sales and the like are ecological and environmental nonsense: the journey to the farm negates any advantage.

These people waste a lot of money and also destroy the natural habitat of many plants, insects and animals.
Here in this country, there is less and less natural habitat that is created by itself without any effort and that costs nothing ... it even maintains itself. Instead, we are building more and more ugly and useless stuff, which we then have to maintain with "follow-up costs", for which we have no money in the long term.
