If you have a Cumulus voucher with 10 x Cumulus points and pay with Cumulus vouchers, then you don't get 10 times the points on the amount paid with the Cumulus vouchers.
That is somehow indecent.

that's all very well, although I can understand your displeasure. But it's not indecent, because the small print on the back of the Cumulus vouchers says: "Cumulus vouchers are valid as a discount". This is deducted from the amount, after which new Cumulus points are awarded for the remaining amount to be paid, in your case 10 times the amount. The Cumulus vouchers have been used incorrectly for this purchase. What a pity! :-(.

In the same situation, the cashier drew my wife's attention to the situation in question and advised her not to use the vouchers until her next purchase. Unfortunately, in addition to attentive checkout staff, there are also checkout staff who don't care. But once again, it is probably a question of training.
It is certainly not the checkout staff's job to point this out to every customer. Hundreds of customers pass by a cashier every day. Perhaps people should simply start thinking for themselves again.
And it's actually clear that the points only apply to the amount paid. Otherwise Migros would "pay" twice, once in the form of the blue vouchers and once for the 10x points.

@Ramon@migi : Yes, this is exactly the job of the checkout staff and such situations can be dealt with quickly and easily by the first sales assistant when she comes on duty.
There is actually only one situation where there could be problems: Not enough cash, no gift card, no EC or Postcard and no credit card - only Cumulus points and the absolute last chance to redeem this 10x voucher.... Have you noticed ? - the Cumulus vouchers are used as a cash substitute and not as a CHF 100 discount on a purchase e.g. over CHF 100.05 ;-)
Many customers do not use Cumulus as a discount but as a cash substitute for special purposes. This is also shown by the discussions in Migipedia such as: "Why can't gift cards be topped up with them" ... In any case, I use them exclusively as "vacation luxury" in the M-Restaurant and I've often wished the 20 Fr. vouchers into pepperland because I couldn't use them practically, i.e. I had to take the coffee with me for lunch because the amount was exceeded and then had to drink it cold...
With regard to the role of the checkout staff, I can only underline what wef17 said. All the more so as not "every" customer has to be made aware of this, but only those who want to pay with the vouchers, and only on Cumulus promotion days. This becomes all the clearer if you take the view of Migros itself. It can't be right that a company sets up complex marketing instruments that have almost become a family task to manage (the latest example is the Famigros campaign 'Die Lose sind los', which we boycotted, but that's another story) and then relieves its own staff of the task of proactively supporting customers.

I can still understand that the Cumulus vouchers are considered a "discount" in the case of normal purchases. But if there are additional points, then that's not OK!
The checkout staff have no "advisory function". That would cost far too much time and therefore money. In addition, such "consultations" at the checkout prolong the waiting time.
Migros has committed itself to (and prides itself on) acting in an ecologically sound manner.
The whole receipt, picture and other "games" thing goes completely against this maxim!
I didn't particularly like the old "Denner" and I don't think it's really intelligent that Migros "got into" the alcohol and tobacco business with the Denner takeover: BUT: the old Denner boss replaced the discount market madness and other stupid gimmicks with net prices. That was a very good idea at the time and still is today!
That's why I want a "Cumulus electronic" card that rationally thinking Migros customers like me can demand and that eliminates all the polluting nonsense that Migros now generates with Cumulus, Famigros and waste-generating gimmicks. Cumulus and the games generate tons of waste that has to be disposed of afterwards. The game collections are and remain, in most cases, incomplete and end up in the trash.
I want a "Cumulus Electronics" card that "contains" all Cumulus discounts and can also be a personal "pre-paid" card.
I already have this, partially, in my pocket: a "gift card" (which I "top up" as required) and on which the Cumulus barcode and the Famigros barcode are stuck. This shortens the payment procedure to scanning the 3 barcodes and takes less than 10 seconds! If you reduce this to a single barcode, which is assigned by IT to Cumulus, Famigros and the "prepaid card" (=gift card). Then you can reduce the payment procedure to 2 seconds.
At the same time, you can minimize all the inconvenience caused by receipts and save a few hundred trees every year because you no longer need paper. You can also assign to a card whether the customer is interested in the current milling game (this saves the stupid question "do you want the xx stones" or "pictures"? ... and pleases the staff, who are tired of asking the same stupid questions over and over again).
You can then credit the people who don't want to pollute our environment with pictures and stones a few centimes on their Cumulus bill.
If you do it right, then you can put hundreds of tons of garbage at the source and also show not so environmentally friendly citizens, by crediting a few centimes (instead of the little pictures), that environmentally friendly behavior is worthwhile!
The Migros newspaper should also flutter into the Emali "letterbox" automatically every week as an "electronic edition" if the customer so wishes. Instead of the obligatory paper edition. This also saves a lot of paper during vacation times, when the Migros newspaper lands in the mailbox and then ends up unread in the trash when you return from vacation.
If you improve the electronic edition of the Migros newspaper with an idea that I have developed, then there will be thousands of people who will be very happy to collect the electronic edition of the newspaper.
In cooperation with the municipalities, this "Cumulus electronic" card can also significantly reduce waste through recycling.
But we are, almost all of us, so stupid and cranky that we prefer to pack our waste "cleanly" with "fee garbage bags" ... I'm just waiting for some idiot to invent the "red ribbon with a PET heart" so that we can dispose of our garbage in a really "cute" and "hearty" design.

Aldi ... even if Migros sometimes deviates from the sensible path, Migros is still one of the "cleanest" wholesalers in Europe.
Where else are you going to shop? ... the others are all even dirtier. Even very small grocers are, strictly speaking (and against their own will), no better than Migros.
It's also not really Migros' fault that the people who surround us are so crazy about stupid miller games.
What I want from Migros is ALTERNATIVES that reward people who do without "pedial" nonsense and useless paper.
The Migros newspaper (as well as the Coop newspaper) very often contains very interesting articles that are even worth collecting ... but in paper form it is nowhere near as interesting as when you finally introduce a system, which I have developed and which ensures that every reader can create an archive with the things that interest them ... regardless of whether these are kitchen recipes, travel reports or something else.
I accuse Migros of the fact that many of its employees are no longer prepared to develop Migros further and that more and more good ideas that Migros has created are being forgotten due to greed for profit.
Even this blog here only serves to allow Migros to bask in its apparent customer friendliness ... No ideas are wanted here.

Even if there will be cries of protest here now, the current situation can be compared very well with the situation in the NAZI Reich: people who disagreed were also harassed back then. The "shit" or "I don't like it" button was not welcome, as it is here now!
I hope that Migros realizes that customers who are satisfied with everything will ensure that Migros becomes an "expensive cheap crap and junk market" in the long run, like many of its competitors. .

buy from the farmer (vegetables, lettuce, eggs and possibly bread) and from the village grocer. everything from the region, transparent, known and therefore genuine!
of course, this is not possible for everyone (city dwellers...). but the first step has to be taken somewhere!
i also don't think it's right that farmers who have signed an organic contract still have to THROW AWAY half of their harvest (or more) because only standardized/standard sizes/shapes are desired. is that organic? i expect naturalness from organic - and that includes a mini potato and a crooked cucumber!
the following happened to a farmer from the village: order from a large supplier: 5 "ballets" of zucchinis. unfortunately, the contract partner then only wanted 1 (!!!!) - so the remaining 4 had to be disposed of.
another example: cherries. we all know that this season is very short (from domestic suppliers!). but if they can't be delivered within a two-week window, the wholesaler says no. and then. import?
just to make you think!
basically, i'm an absolute migros fan!!! but what i've experienced recently makes me sad and also a little angry! migros as a "normal", unfair (?) wholesaler. it seems to me that not too much of the founder's thoughts resonate anymore?!?

@Kathrin: We can't choose our favorite Migros, the market determines that.
Logically, the only thing left of the founding idea is the renunciation of tobacco and alcohol and I don't miss these two articles in Migros! Otherwise half of Migros would consist of wine bottles like Denner... to exaggerate a little.
In the early days, Migros was about providing basic foodstuffs at low prices.... and not that the men carried the whole payday to the then still numerous taverns... ;-)
Today, you can also get these staple foods from farmers, agricultural cooperatives or fruit cold stores - not always cheap, but at least the transportation involves a reasonable ecological effort. The price is also not the top priority, many jobs are also created and these people pay taxes again ... keep our economy going in a sensible way.
But we cannot regulate or even ban everything, it is much better to react to existing circumstances and perhaps this will become an idea for many:
-- no vegetables and fruit at "inopportune times" - keyword pears South Africa, Chile, New Zealand or at least in moderation.
-- Avoid additional disposable packaging material, but take bags with you. Use take-back points.
-- But don't drive dozens of kilometers around the area to find the cheapest kilo of cherries with the biggest fruit ...
This is just a suggestion...
