It's a shame that mussels are no longer available in jars. Ideal in size for a delicious, meat-free spaghetti sauce.
The mussels in the jar are (were) sooo versatile in use. For example, we also used them on pizzas, in a meatless rice dish, etc. You get ideas spontaneously when cooking!
Exactly! I managed to prepare my last jar from my stash today, but where do I get them from afterwards? I'm increasingly at a loss in Migros: what I want to buy isn't there. And what is there I usually don't need. What is the point of having so many different types of breakfast cereal if they are all sweetened in some way? I'm just as perplexed in front of the tea shelf - there are so many teas, but no loose-leaf black tea, which obviously doesn't appeal to enough shoppers.

Dear Migros. The apparent lack of demand is a flimsy excuse. You've had mussels in jars in your range for over 20 years and then suddenly there's a lack of demand! You haven't made enough profit with them. Shame on you. You haven't been acting in Duttweiler's spirit for a long time.
