At Migros the mussels with shells are also pasteurized but different from the ones in the jar, so they don't keep for long and therefore can no longer be found in small stores! At the Coop there are with and without shells but frozen. I just think it's a shame to take the decision to remove mussels in jars from the range as M-Classic! Mussels in a jar is simply a must! I don't think there are any more mussels in jars in the whole of Switzerland, I can find some abroad via Google, nothing else!

I have also noticed that the classic in a jar has disappeared! And now Migros wants to sell us 69g mussels in a sardine tin. Is this supposed to be more environmentally friendly or why this change?

Great, they seem to be brand new! When they disappeared in the jar, there was no packaged alternative.

Exactly! I managed to prepare my last jar from my stash today, but where do I get them from afterwards? I'm increasingly at a loss in Migros: what I want to buy isn't there. And what is there I usually don't need. What is the point of having so many different types of breakfast cereal if they are all sweetened in some way? I'm just as perplexed in front of the tea shelf - there are so many teas, but no loose-leaf black tea, which obviously doesn't appeal to enough shoppers.

It's a shame that mussels are no longer available in jars. Ideal in size for a delicious, meat-free spaghetti sauce.
