Switch to M-Budget mobile - experiences?
Wechsel auf M-Budget mobile - Erfahrungen?

Guest
Hello everyone
My cell phone contract doesn't expire until July, but I would like to inquire about switching. I heard from an IT apprentice that the cell phone subscriptions from M-Budget are reasonably priced and that you get the same good reception as with Swisscom.
I used to have the 35. subscription from Swisscom. (1GB, 1000 SMS, 30 min. calls; this subscription is no longer available) At M-Budget I would be interested in the 29.00 Maxi One subscription.
Does anyone have experience with this subscription or switching to M-Budget (from Swissom)? Would you recommend switching?
Many thanks for your comments :)
I don't know if I'm in the right place with my request. If not, please excuse me :)

Unfortunately, I can't recommend Migros Budget Mobile based on my experience with customer service. As long as you don't need customer service, it's a SIM card with reception - you can make calls and send text messages without any problems, so far everything is ok - nothing to complain about. But if you do need customer service, you'll find that nothing works at all. I switched from Migros to Swisscom and wanted to transfer my remaining credit. The customer service employee was anything but friendly and explained to me in a patronizing manner that this was not possible. There were sentences like "Yes, we'll pocket the money" - a choice of words that should be avoided in customer service. Later in the complaints process, I received written statements such as "The credit has already been lost and therefore cannot be transferred" (I still don't know how Migros can lose customer credit). And it was also confirmed to me - "Normally we can only transfer credit as long as the number is still active". The fact that I made my request to Migros while my number was still active was ignored. Migros stubbornly took the stance that they could only "obligingly" transfer the budget to another MBudget number if I had one - which they had seen in the system beforehand, but this is not the case. I can cope with the loss of the credit, there wasn't that much left on it. Much worse is the way I was treated: condescending and arrogant, and very creative in finding new excuses. When they realized that they were manoeuvring themselves into a dead end with their own statements, they simply ignored the situation. Unfortunately, I can't recommend Migros. As an (ex) Migros customer, I would like to say something different, but in my experience you are better off with the customer service of Aldi, for example - always friendly and eager to find solutions.

I'm really sorry about what happened to you... We haven't had good experiences with M-Budget-Mobile either, the customer service is subterranean. And there are better offers and providers than M-Budget-Mobile. I can recommend Yallo or TalkTalk (both Sunrise network; they often have great offers, just check online regularly), and Wingo (Swisscom network) is also good, I've heard (they also often have great offers online).

Uhh - no! If M-Budget-Mobile is miserable, Wingo can't be any better. M-Budget-Mobile is not operated and managed by Migros itself, but by Wingo (a Swisscom subsidiary).

I can't judge Wingo; I have colleagues who have taken out a subscription online with Wingo and are very happy with it so far. Where does it say that MBudget Mobile is operated by Wingo? I couldn't find any such reference on the website (even the customer services have different numbers); only Migros Genossenschaftsbund and Swisscom are listed there. And you won't find this information anywhere at Wingo either. At Swisscom in the general terms and conditions, reference is made to the respective websites of Wingo, MBudget Mobile, Coop Mobile...

Unfortunately I can no longer find the information anywhere, but somewhere I read - or heard - that Swisscom had outsourced the management of third-party providers on its network - such as M-Budget-Mobile - to its subsidiary Wingo. It should come as no surprise that different customer center telephone numbers are set up for the individual providers. After all, the center employee should be shown which service is being called for.

I have also heard on the Swisscom forum that M-Budget and Wingo have something to do with each other . https://community.swisscom.ch/t5/Archiv-Telefonie/MBudget-Abos-Prepaid-miteinbeziehen/td-p/447348 I noticed with the super user Pogo 1104 in this forum with the special avatar picture (man with cowboy hat) that there is also the same picture here in the Migros forum, but with the forum name @eathouse. Hello @easthouse - is it you and can you help ?

Wingo = "cheap brand" from Swissom (similar to Yallo from Sunrise). M-Budget = Wingo, i.e. ultimately Swisscom. The general terms and conditions for M-Budget and Wingo are those of Swisscom. But: The point of contact is always the customer service of the contractual partner, i.e. M-Budget or Wingo, depending on who you have concluded the contract with. And by the way, that's not just any man in a cowboy hat, that's "Lemmy" himself! 😉 https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lemmy_Kilmister

Thank you for all your lively contributions. It is understandable that MBudget does not have its own network but uses the Swisscom network and therefore presumably has a service contract. However, whether customer service is provided by Swisscom, Wingo or someone else in the background is irrelevant to me as a customer. I have a contract with Migros, so Migros is my contact partner and is responsible for ensuring that the quality of service is right. If there are problems, this will damage Migros' reputation - not Swisscom's. Let's hope Migros has a good complaints management system - because the true quality of customer service is measured by its ability to deal with difficult situations and turn detractors into convinced promoters. We will see... If the situation changes for the better, I will definitely update the status here.
I have the experience of someone from the family, you had a problem with the subscription, you called mBudgetMobile, they said yes you have to call Swisscom, at Swisscom they said no you have to call mBudgetMobiöe you can't do anything, so again mBudget but there you were redirected to Swisscom again, there they explained to us they have no possibility to change anything and explained why, so again mBudget and explained and there they said again they couldn't help.... groan
The MBudget Mobile customer service (mail function via website) or the corresponding hotline (phone) is responsible for MBudget Mobile and not Swisscom. They can say what they like. Yallo customer service is responsible for Yallo mobile products, Wingo customer service is responsible for Wingo, Sunrise customer service is responsible for Sunrise, Salt customer service is responsible for Salt, Swisscom customer service is responsible for Swisscom, etc. With Wingo and MBudet-Mobile, calls are made on the Swisscom network, with Yallo/TalkTalk on the Sunrise network. Wingo/MBudget-Mobile/Yallo etc. are simply the "cheap lines" of Swisscom/Sunrise, if you like...

Exactly: M-Budget-Mobile and Wingo are the low-cost lines of Swisscom. That's why Migros is not responsible for customer service, but the company responsible for M-Budget-Mobile: Wingo. With the Cumulus credit card, you don't end up at the Cumulus or M-Infoline if you need customer service, but (currently still) at Cembra. By the way: Yallo is a 100% subsidiary of Sunrise.
