My cell phone contract doesn't expire until July, but I would like to inquire about switching. I heard from an IT apprentice that the cell phone subscriptions from M-Budget are reasonably priced and that you get the same good reception as with Swisscom.

I used to have the 35. subscription from Swisscom. (1GB, 1000 SMS, 30 min. calls; this subscription is no longer available) At M-Budget I would be interested in the 29.00 Maxi One subscription.

Does anyone have experience with this subscription or switching to M-Budget (from Swissom)? Would you recommend switching?

The number porting from Swisscom to M-Budget Mobile was confirmed by SMS with date and time. Since then, neither the old/new nor the transition number can be reached.
Multiple calls to the service center. Of these, approx. 40% of the calls have been pushed away directly after answering the call or after "clarifications". If you get through, you usually get empty phrases or unqualified statements and are put off.
I'd really like to get my old number back, pay for the new SIM card and the Value Packages and switch to another provider. But for that to happen, the number porting to M-Budget would have to be completed.
I would have expected more from Migros and Swisscom. My conclusion: Not recommended.

I switched from Swisscom to M-Budget MaxiOne about a year ago. When it was finally switched on, it went well. But until it was finally switched on... The switch-on date was exceeded by six weeks. Ok, M-Budget was accommodating and waived the first two months' fee. So far, so good...
Now my partner also wanted to take out an M-Budget subscription. It failed at the post office counter, the ID had expired. So she ordered a new ID, tried again, spent another 30 minutes at the counter, and again it didn't work. I then transferred an M-Budget prepaid card to her to convert it into an M-Budget MaxiOne subscription. When I registered, I was told that this was not possible due to a "negative credit check". Ok, another attempt on my part to buy another subscription in my name was rejected for the same reason. I have no outstanding debts with either Swisscom or M-Budget. So I called the customer service at M-Budget, described the problem, the friendly gentleman told me that he couldn't understand it because I wasn't listed negatively with them and didn't have any outstanding debts or anything else. In the end, he gave me a Swisscom number and said that they would help me. I took three deep breaths to remain friendly, dialed this number and... "This number is no longer in service"
To be honest, I feel like I've been taken for a ride. As a paying customer I am (still) tolerated, but I am denied another subscription. And nobody can tell me why.
Until now, I've spoken positively about M-Budget to friends and acquaintances, but that's now a thing of the past. Fortunately, there are alternatives if you are suddenly unwanted by a provider.

Although the number porting at Melectronic Amriswil was set for 10.12.2017, I am still waiting for the porting today (11.1.2018). Repeated calls to the hotline revealed that they are working on the problem but unfortunately cannot say when the problem will be solved.
They accommodated me by giving me a new SIM card free of charge so that I or my wife can at least make calls when I'm out and about.
But the fact that this number porting is so extremely slow is very, very annoying. Based on the reports here, this does not seem to be an isolated case. This is all the more astonishing as the whole Hanling of M-Budget-Mobile is done by a subsidiary of Swisscom.
I'm really curious to see how much longer our patience will be strained.
