Hello!
Why do I have to read the ingredients in Migros! It's so tedious, I'd love it if vegan food was labeled. That's why I prefer to do my shopping at the Coop!

I don't think so....
I can understand gluten-free or lactose-free products, as they are indicated. Vegan food is a way of life and not an allergy....
therefore no!
(I like to eat vegan products myself)
Vegan food is a way of life, that's true.
But when you realize what the consumption of meat and dairy products means for animals - it's about suffering and misery, torture and lack of freedom - then it's a small contribution, a small renunciation that has a big impact if many people rethink!
The production of dairy products means that calves are quickly separated from their mother cows after birth and have to do without, that mother cows give their milk to humans instead of their calves. Year after year, new calves are "produced", which then have to be killed again. Mother cows are also slaughtered after about 5 years because they no longer give as much milk. Laying hens also have a short life, male chicks are shredded. And all this just so that we humans can eat animal products.
Why can't people make a change and eat plant-based products?
Why can't Migros include more vegan products in its range and thus make a valuable contribution to reducing the suffering and torture of animals? I think that would be so important. And I think it's a very promising topic for the future.
I've been a Migros customer since I was a child and would very much welcome a development in this direction.

Hello Pazzi
Stocking more veggie/vegan products in Migros is one of our Generation M promises:https://generation-m.migros.ch/de/versprechen/vegan-vegetarisch-versprechen.html#formen_vegetarischer_ernaehrung
And I personally see that we have more and more and receive a lot of positive feedback from our personal environment or from people who live vegan on Instagram and Faceobok.
We have labeled many foods with either the V-label or the vegan flower. You can find everything we have labeled here:https://produkte.migros.ch/sortiment/supermarkt/lebensmittel?facets=label~v-vegan~veganblume
What are you specifically missing and what would you like to see more of?
Kind regards
Dominik
Hello Dominik,
Thank you very much for your reply! You are doing a great job, I can see that!
What do I wish for? For example, I would like an offer for fresh bread, I always had to read a lot of small print there... Or seitan would be great.
With kind regards

Hello Pazzi
Thank you for the compliment.
I can understand that when it comes to bread, there is actually milk powder hidden in there from time to time. I'll be happy to pass on your request to the relevant department.
Best regards
Dominik
The vegan label, which is controlled by Swissveg, may only be placed on the packaging if the entire production process is vegetarian or vegan. This means no additives of animal origin, e.g. iced tea that is filtered with gelatine. Further information: www.swissveg.ch And remember that VEGANS also value a healthy diet, i.e. less salt, sugar and E substances. Putting this consistently into ACTION surpasses every comment on Facbook and co! So it's time to do your homework again!
Hey,
This morning I went to the Take Away at Bern station, and lo and behold! There's no coffee with vegan milk, but the muesli, smoothies and sandwiches are labeled (vegan, vegetarian, etc.).
This is how I, as a vegan consumer, recognize "my" products! There aren't many of them yet, it would be great if Migros could expand the range!
With regards Pazzi

Hello Pazzi
I'm pleased that we're making things easier for you with our labeling. We are still working on expanding the range. I've heard that some exciting new launches are already planned for next year.
Best regards
Dominik
Hello!
You don't need a vegan label to "make a change and eat more plant-based foods". It would be misleading and unsustainable anyway:
Foodhttps://www.mopo.de/ratgeber/gesundheit/bitte-was--avocados-sollen-nicht-vegan-sein---das-ist-der-grund-31454298
At this point, I would go regional instead of fundamentalistically eliminating everything animal-based.
This is also better for the environment.
Palm fat/palm oil is added to many vegan products.
How about a label that warns against trans fats? These are "hardened" vegetable oils (usually sunflower oil or rapeseed oil). Trans fats are harmful to health and have already been banned in some more progressive countries. In Switzerland, they are not even subject to declaration.
