Discomfort

Unwohlsein

I feel like my legs have been sawn off on Migipedia - I can't move around like I used to - there's a hitch everywhere.

I don't want to go into the IT problems already described, such as log-in/log-out, deleting, correcting etc., because these have already been documented and hopefully passed on.

I have been working in IT since 1972, when it was still called data processing. I created my first website in the year 2000, followed by several more for friends and institutions, but these were easy to create as I only had to distinguish between "IE" and "Netscape". Later, other Mozilla-based browsers and iMacs were added. After that it was over for me, I no longer had to deal with iOS, iPhone, iPad and Android, as today's IT specialists have to or are allowed to do. So I can get an idea of how many components the specialists have to look at - a lot - people are not to be pitied.

Playful!
In a project, I could also have written concept, it depends on the coordinator. The coordinator was supposed to mediate between the two parties that can be seen on the Migipedia logo (brown [Migros] and blue [customer] speech bubble).
Something didn't work out, because a lot of "old" things were left out, "new" useful things were added and, as a bonus, I am inundated with a flood of statistics!

Now to the main point of my lines.

Personally, I was stopped, because it is no longer possible for me to describe products the way I want to, because I am only allowed to correct, since I described the article years ago, perhaps this or my perception has changed, so I would like to re-evaluate it. Changing it is out of the question, because I would be questioning the linked answers. So I can add a new comment(I did once, I don't do it anymore).
Of course, I could add the new comment as an answer, but that doesn't make any sense either, as it wouldn't be read and couldn't be rated.
Most of the time when I describe a product, I have also rated it, if not I could do that now, but without a rating you can't reply!

Let's stay with the answers. Unfortunately, they can no longer be rated! So they are no longer interesting.

By the way: Before I went offline on August 12, I had 2,109 likes and after the restart only 943. All the likes on the answers ended up in nirvana!

I can (have to) live with the lost product descriptions, as it seems that the FOPH was behind it.

The fact that the taggs were removed - I don't know why - maybe they will come back! - as a list for allergens/vegetarian/vegan products?

The software still leaves some options open that are currently inactive. That's a good thing, because many things don't work correctly anyway. I have checked the "man emoticons" - dead pants - they are all displayed.

The format date display doesn't work properly either, instead of dd-MM-yyyy it often changes to the ratio data!

But the hiding of the status and the "Don't send me any e-mails" works.

@Istanbul: What you describe is actually the same for me in all points and sometimes I wish the old Migipedia was back. There are some great new features but I miss a lot of the old things you mentioned. :-/ Let's hope that one or the other will be possible again/ come back!

Although I'm not very good with the computer, I did notice a few things.
There are really good new features that I like, but there are also functions that are missing!
For example, I don't like the fact that an article can't be rated again.
It should also be possible to rate the answers again.
It doesn't have to be the same as before, but a mixture of both Migipedia would perhaps be good.

@Luna_L, @Istanbul, @Imperator: As often before, I largely agree with the three of you;
I also miss a number of important functions and possibilities of the 'old' Migipedia, on which I (too) felt much more 'comfortable'(https://community.migros.ch/m/Neues-Migipedia-da-ist-noch-der/Lob-und-Kritik/td-p/245407/page/4

However, Tanja's encouraging messages (e.g. https://community.migros.ch/m/Community/Spielwiese-für-Migros-Kinder/bc-p/274239#M37 ) give me hope...

Hello everyone

Thank you - and especially you @Frederica - for your open words about our new Migipedia. Since you are the ones who use Migipedia the most, it is very important for us to hear clearly what you don't like here.

As you already know, we are already working on some issues - such as the login function mentioned above and a clearer activity stream. I can well understand Istanbul's thoughts on the product reviews. I will look at this with the team to see if we can make any changes. Unfortunately, I don't know the technical aspects of this platform well enough, so I can't say what we can do about it and in what form.

As for the lost likes: I'm not entirely sure, but these could also be likes that guests have given on the old Migipedia and could not be transferred here. Here too, however, I can well understand that this annoys you.

You're not the only one who misses the tags. This is also already an issue in the project team. However, we have yet to decide how to proceed. I will let you know as soon as I know more.

Thanks again for your input. We'll look into it as a team.

Kind regards
Tanja

I'm glad there are others who are not so happy with the new Migipedia! I don't have any technical problems, but it's enough for my "home use". But for me it has too much and too little on the start page. I liked being able to simply scroll down and read the comments, remarks, questions etc. from others and comment or reply if necessary. The page-long reviews were annoying, but just scroll down! I have rarely used Migipedia since last month. It's just too confusing for me and there's a lot of unnecessary stuff on the homepage.
I have a look here and there to see what's going on, but otherwise I've pretty much lost interest in this site.

Hi Frederica, I haven't seen you since the new forum (or am I blind?). I stumbled across you by chance because I was looking for likes that had been lost during the forum rein (this time it's about Traberli's and also mine). How are you doing with the new forum? I'm not doing so well with it... Greetings Cinderella1925

I would also be interested in Frederica.

Are likes that important to you? It's more important that we help each other than collecting likes.

Hello Eenergy, I'm glad to see/read you.

If they already exist, it should work. Otherwise you can also remove the likes. I don't need them. I think only what is there should run correctly, otherwise it distorts everything.
