I sincerely wish for the whole range of biscuits, chocolate, baked goods and sweet drinks with 50% less sugar (without replacing it with sweeteners, of course) - simply half as sweet. Maybe you could start with a few products, that would be great and I am convinced that I am not the only one who has this wish. Thank you very much.

This involves defining various selected product ranges in which, for example, a reduction in sugar or salt is being targeted and implemented. The focus is always on staple foods, but our recipe revisions do not focus on indulgence products such as biscuits, chocolate, cakes, desserts, sweet drinks, potato chips, aperitif cookies, etc. These products are indulgence products. These products are luxury foods and not staple foods, which should always be consumed in moderation as part of a healthy diet. Accordingly, indulgence products are assigned an appropriately low place in the Swiss food pyramid (http://www.sge-ssn.ch/ich-und-du/essen-und-trinken/ausgewogen/schweizer-lebensmittelpyramide/). Nevertheless, I have good news for you. Migros is a partner of actionsanté, an initiative of the Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office: http://www.actionsante.ch. As part of the actionsanté initiative, numerous recipe improvements have already been made to Migros products. The food categories you mentioned could be revised and reduced in sugar in the future. However, a 50 % reduction in sugar could be very difficult. Sugar is added to many products not only for taste, but also for technological reasons (e.g. for the texture of a biscuit dough). Furthermore, in many cases recipe improvements can only be made gradually so that consumers can get used to the new recipes and do not find the products less tasty. The excuses are unbelievable. There is no need for sugar in soups, sauces, chips, bread, cottage cheese, natural dairy products, etc. Let people finally feel the real taste and, above all, get to know it again!!!

But the same amount. I miss the point: people LOVE sugar and fat, so we sell it better and more. Those who look at it anyway are in the minority and not relevant and economical enough for us at Migros. I would find an honest statement less annoying than the nice excuses :)

Hello Lo0_0ora I checked again: there is actually only less sugar in the new Guetzlis, no other additives - you can rest assured. Incidentally, the sugar content is only 15 grams per 100 grams of product (which is really less compared to other sweets). Best regards, Brigitte
