Hello, I would like to know why the Senior Card 2023 is only valid on three (Tue-Thu) instead of five (Tue-Sat) days. The previous offer was reduced by 40% of the possible shopping days, which is quite drastic.

No - I have shown both the front AND the back...
You can't see it. Where did you get the receipt? There are two features that make me suspicious: there's no barcode on the receipt, and it's valid until the end of 2027. That's a bit long for Migros. If the receipt really is genuine, it should be valid throughout Switzerland, as no cooperative is mentioned. But the obligatory barcode is missing.

For example, you sell these vouchers at the checkouts of Migros restaurants in eastern Switzerland for CHF 35, i.e. there are 11 vouchers inside - 1 coffee is then free. Same scenario in the middle of Bern: I go to the checkout on Marktgasse in Bern with 2 coffees and want to pay and I am also offered a coffee booklet... My spontaneous reaction: I already have that... from Eastern Switzerland - and I want to take out the voucher. Forget it - it's not possible: we're here in Migros Aare and these vouchers are for the region - which I don't understand, but I accept! By the way, there is no barcode on them, but there is an M watermark (pressed in). When redeeming a voucher, a barcode is not scanned in, but a corner is cut off with scissors and the voucher is then placed in the till (presumably for the evening bill). There is another "special feature like 50 years ago" - you can only buy the booklets with cash - i.e. bartering... Credit cards (including those from Migros) are not accepted at all...

Thanks for the explanation. But if it's a booklet, I'm sure it says on the envelope which cooperative the vouchers are valid with. Some cooperatives apparently have stamp cards; then it says on the back which one it applies to. You can find photos on the Internet. As these are third-party photos, I won't put any here, but as an example, here is a link to a page with two photos (front and back, use the arrow > View back): https://www.ricardo.ch/de/a/kaffeekarte-migros-basel-gutscheine-bis-311223-1220353504/

".... is certainly on the cover " Unfortunately no - @Nachtspalter - a possible distinguishing feature compared to Migros Aare could be the missing French language, apart from a possible color difference ???... but let's agree: it clearly says "Bon for Café Royal - Migros Restaurant and Take Away", even with the Migros watermark pressed in ... and all over Switzerland (except Migros Ticino) Café Royal is advertised, everywhere the same outfit in the restaurants and ... BINGO - receipt is not valid ! I guess at Migros the right hand doesn't always know what the left hand is doing...
@Coacoa2000 : The problem is : @crams "is not amused" because this offer is available in Bern-Aargau - but not in Zurich. I don't think this "local patriotism" is exactly conducive to the "MIGROS" brand throughout Switzerland - a "MIGROS Zürich" or "MIGROS Aare" or "MIGROS Ostschweiz" presence would be more honest, because then people would know that coffee vouchers from MIGROS Ostschweiz in Bern or Uster and those from Migros Zürich in Wetzikon are not redeemable... to take just one small example!
We (Nidwalden = Lucerne Cooperative) do not have this senior card either. I agree with @crams and @BioZweifler. I don't think it's very nice either. It's tantamount to "cantonalism", which I also find inappropriate for such a small country. Happy New Year to everyone.

This has nothing to do with the Kantöneli spirit, but because Migros is 10 cooperatives and therefore also 10 different companies... and each cooperative has the right to start its own campaigns... it's exactly the same with the Raifeissenbank. The employees of the supermarkets, restaurants and specialty stores are under the control of the respective cooperatives, not the FMC... it's always been like that... the same with the coffee vouchers... it's always been like that...
Hello uka, Migros Aare's popular senior citizens' days have been held on a specific day each month since their introduction and until the coronavirus pandemic. Due to the coronavirus measures, it was decided in 2020 that the one-off discount of 10 percent could be redeemed within a week in order to avoid excessive frequency on a single day.
Now that all measures have been lifted, Migros Aare has decided to return to the "normal situation". However, as the offer of being able to use the discount flexibly has proved very popular with senior citizens, the redemption option has been extended from one day to three days. Kind regards, Susi

How should I understand this? Is a 10% discount on a Monday or Friday more expensive for Migros than on Tuesdays and Thursdays? I can understand that you don't want to lure senior citizens into the stores with discounts on Saturdays, but any other restriction is completely pointless and nothing but harassment.

@Federwolke : I would be happy if there were such great offers in our region as in the preferred region of Aare - 10x Cumulus is not available anywhere else in Switzerland and I find the 10% on everything completely exaggerated. I would even be happy if it said: Only on one day of the week between 8 and 9 and on essential products ...

Bullshit, you can only redeem it one day anyway...before Corona it was only on Tuesdays...be glad that Migros didn't cancel the offer...
