How is it that "free bags" are still being handed out in various stores? For plants, various non-food items and food.
Does this depend on the store?

Hello Rabbit93
Here at the Migros near me there are no more "free bags".
I usually have enough of my own with me.
But the question of whether the frozen food should be put in a bag and pieces of clothing....
The question comes up from time to time. But some people know I don't want that and don't even ask.
Fruit and vegetables are still in plastic bags...
But the larger plastic bags are no longer free here. Only these thin ones that don't really "hold" - just clean and dry packaging.
@Rabbit93
Maybe there are still stores with remaining stock... Here with us there are only the 5 Rp. bags at the checkout and the free rasches bags in the fruit/vegetable section.
Thanks for the feedback, but I'm more concerned with the ecological aspect. It should be uniform and free bags should no longer be distributed at the checkouts (not the small raschel bags)
The Raschesäckli (aha, that's what they're called) are everywhere here. They are only given out if something is very dirty (flower pot), or something might be leaking, frozen clothes.
Do they really need one? They are very stingy with it (in a positive sense).
What about fresh meat? Fish comes with a thin foil in a paper bag.
And meat? I hardly ever buy meat at the counter, I haven't seen how it's done now.
Not at all? Not quickly? ?
Hihi would also be good Raschesäckli raschen einpacken ?
Ok merci, so with L in the middle. So from rascheln. Sure.
???
Raschel, because these bags rustle so nicely ? You can pack them quickly, but now just loose fruit and vegetables.
Yes, I have them too, and I use them. Although I usually use the free fruit/vegetable Raschel bags several times (if I haven't just bought a rotten/muddy fruit that has leaked in the bag during transportation, then I can only use the Raschel bag at home as a collection bag/container for transportation to our organic waste bin).
