I was in the melectronics online store this morning. I wanted to buy a fridge-freezer - and of course I wanted to have it delivered directly to my apartment - as I can't lift it on my own... During the ordering process, I was asked whether I wanted additional insurance, a service such as moving the old one to the new one, etc. - it was even pointed out with an asterisk that this service can only be selected in conjunction with home delivery - but this can NOT be selected. I then went to the melectronics store this afternoon. I had to ask a total of 3 people until I got the information - you just have to go further in the ordering process and then it will come. Ok, fine. Back at home - I do that - and there's nothing - just the payment. So you can't select delivery to your home in the order process at Melectronics! That can't be right. What a hassle. And I didn't feel like ordering in the store - I wasn't really asked about it either. And now? Order the same device from a competitor? Thanks for your feedback. coco
I don't know whether this is a problem in the M-Electronics online store; Migros will certainly know and can provide the relevant information here. The M-Electronics GTC (https://www.melectronics.ch/de/cp/AGB) state the following, see section 10 (delivery options): "a) Store reservation see section 3 b) Store pick-up (not possible for all products) The order will be delivered to the selected store. As soon as the order is ready for collection at the store, the customer receives a collection invitation. From this point onwards, the customer can collect the ordered products from the store during opening hours within the next five store opening days. Payment at the store can be made in cash or by electronic means of payment. Orders, with the exception of custom-made products or a special order, which are not collected from the store within the specified period are deemed to have been canceled and any payments already made will be refunded. The right to claim damages remains reserved. c) Delivery (parcel delivery / home delivery) The delivery address must be in Switzerland or Liechtenstein and easily accessible by truck. Home delivery generally includes delivery of the order to the kerbside. Exceptions: - Melectronics: To the customer's first building door - Do it & Garden: Selected product ranges (e.g. garden furniture and barbecues) are delivered to the place of use. Home delivery does not include any other services, such as unpacking and assembling the purchased item, taking back packaging material, etc. The costs for home delivery are shown separately in the shopping cart and on the invoice, in addition to the price of the products ordered. In the case of delivery addresses with no access road or difficult access, delivery will be made to the nearest access point or railroad station. If the customer nevertheless wishes delivery to/from the premises, they must bear the additional costs or pay them in advance. The customer is responsible for obtaining permits, providing extraordinary auxiliary equipment or making on-site adjustments. If products cannot be transported to their destination through the front door or stairwell, additional costs will be incurred which must be borne by the customer. If products are delivered with obvious damage to the packaging or contents, the customer must immediately complain to the service provider (e.g. forwarding agent, post office) and refuse acceptance, without prejudice to their warranty rights. The customer is obliged to obtain a confirmation of damage from the service provider (e.g. carrier, post office). All transport damage must also be reported to the online store immediately. If the customer does not accept the ordered products on the agreed delivery date, the online store may charge the customer for the delivery costs and expenses incurred and reserves the right to withdraw from the contract. The costs for home delivery are shown separately in the shopping cart, in addition to the price of the ordered products. d) Delivery to a PickMup location It is possible to have orders delivered to a predefined branch of another Migros Group company. The customer selects the PickMup location as the delivery location. The choice of locations depends on the contents of the shopping cart. After the parcel has been delivered to the PickMup location, the customer receives a pick-up invitation with a pick-up slip by e-mail. The pick-up slip serves as proof of identity and must be presented upon collection. This can be, for example, a printed email or a digital version of the pick-up slip (SMS, email on the smartphone). The code stated on the collection slip can also be presented separately. No additional verification of legitimacy is carried out. The order cannot be handed over to the customer without this pick-up slip. The PickMup location validates the pick-up slip electronically, which serves as a pick-up certificate. The customer will be asked to additionally confirm their pick-up with their signature. Any liability for damages incurred by the customer due to loss, theft, misuse, etc. in connection with the pick-up process or the pick-up slip is expressly excluded. If the customer does not pick up the order within the notified period, it will be returned to the online store. The customer bears sole responsibility for orders collected late. It is possible for the customer to agree an extension of the deadline with the customer service of the PickMup location provider." In Section 11 (Assembly and disposal): "Assembly includes the unpacking and assembly of the ordered products, including taking back the packaging material. Disposal includes the acceptance and environmentally friendly disposal of the items indicated by the customer when placing the order, which may correspond to the order in type and quantity at most. The items to be disposed of must be provided by the customer in a manner suitable for transport and on the agreed delivery date of the order. The costs for assembly and disposal are shown separately in the shopping cart, in addition to the price of the products ordered." Section 12 (Delivery date): "The delivery times stated in the online store are non-binding. They start to run from the date of the order or, in the case of prepayment, from receipt of payment. The customer will be informed of a provisional delivery date when the order is confirmed. In the case of home delivery, a date will be agreed with the customer when the goods are ready for delivery. In the event of (partial) inability to deliver, the corresponding order will be cancelled, the customer informed and any payments already made will be refunded. If the online store is unable to meet the provisional delivery date or the delivery date agreed with the customer, the customer is entitled to cancel his order in writing. Cancellation is valid if it is received by the online store in writing after the delivery date has expired and before the order is dispatched. If the dispatch of the order overlaps with the customer's letter of cancellation, the customer may exercise his right of return in accordance with clause 13. If he fails to do so, the contract shall be deemed to have been concluded. Further claims arising from delayed delivery or (partial) failure of delivery are excluded. In the case of custom-made products and special orders, there is no right of cancellation in the event of a delay in delivery."
If M-Electronics doesn't work out, then have a look at toppreise.ch, you may find it cheaper at a competitor, etc. or you can look for a competitor who will deliver the appliances/devices to your home, install them, dispose of the old ones, etc.
@iridum I tried it, but as a guest orderer. There you have to enter the address - logical - and under the address there's a line in which it says that the billing address is also the delivery address. This is clicked by default. So if you want to have the order delivered somewhere else, you have to uncheck the box. Conclusion: Home delivery is - of course - already possible.

Hi iridium Unfortunately, there is no way to arrange delivery to your home without additional services. Therefore, you have to trick the system a little and select an order with a service, e.g. return of an old appliance. On delivery, you then have to say that there is no appliance to take away after all. The amount paid for the DL will of course be credited back to you. Please note that delivery to your home costs CHF 89. Only delivery to the first door is free of charge. I hope I have been able to help you. Kind regards, Sonja

hello Sonja - mhh how sure is it that the amount for the unused DL will be credited?? i.e. even if I buy the device directly in the store now, do I also have to book an additional service - which I then simply don't use - just so that the device is delivered to my home? thank you and greetings

Hello iridium, in this case I recommend that you do not order in the store, otherwise you will have to return to the store to get a refund. So the refund is guaranteed. If you don't have a device to take with you, then the service has not been carried out. It's just a little inconvenient, but unfortunately it's really the only solution I can offer you. Best regards, Sonja

Couldn't this be changed (reprogrammed)? Or is that too complicated/not possible? I'm not that IT-savvy, hence the question.
