I think it would be cool if there was a function to write personal messages to other community members. Sometimes you just want to get something off your chest that is not intended for everyone.
What do you think?

I don't think the idea is wrong, but it is not feasible and would also be extremely complex.

The easiest way would be if the user who wants to maintain contacts could publish their e-mail address in their profile by means of an additional entry. In this way, every non-anonymous user can see whether contact is desired or not.
Since such contacts are rare, I would proceed as follows.
- Send an e-mail with the request to Migipedia with the note to forward it to the user (recipient).
- Migipedia forwards the e-mail with a possible comment.
- If the recipient wants the dialog, he writes to the sender and the connection is established.
Hopefully not too complicated to explain!

i think your suggestion is basically good, but i don't know if the "migipedia people" would be happy about your suggested extra work for them?
