Realignment of M-Classic

Neuausrichtung M-Classic

Edited

I have noticed that the M-Classic brand seems to have been given a new direction. Since it has been given a new logo and a different packaging design, more and more new products have been appearing under this brand, some of which are merging with other brands. For example, there is now also toilet paper under M-Classic, and a foot cream, which is therefore not under PEDIC. What's more, former M-Budget products are now apparently being sold under M-Classic. I think it's about time Migros explained either here or in the Migros magazine what this new strategy is all about and where it wants to go with M-Classic. It has become absolutely confusing and confusing.

I'm starting to lose track of things too... I somehow have the feeling that new/improved products are being launched faster and faster, that (for me) tried and tested/good products are disappearing/being taken out of the range, etc. As a customer, I feel a bit like a guinea pig. A la back and forth... I'm slowly but surely losing track of everything. I wonder if this isn't deliberate on Migros' part...

They have not improved, but have deteriorated and become more expensive because the budget is dwindling (e.g. Grana padano)...

I'm beginning to suspect that in the end there will only be MClassic products and everything from MBudget will disappear at some point; MClassic products somehow get new designs (and alleged product improvements, new recipes etc. = justification for price increases on the part of Migros) by the meter, and MBudget somehow disappears by the meter... Well, in the end I don't care; I'm no longer one of the "high-turnover Migros customers", that has become apparent, especially since more and more of my favorite products have been removed from the range, and I've been looking for (better quality and taste) alternatives for a long time and have found them (at Lidl, Aldi, Coop Prix Garantie, etc.).

Conversely, it is true that many classic products have been made cheaper and worse so that they can replace budget products. As I have often written: If you always shout "cheaper, cheaper!", you'll get cheap. It's your own fault, and if you don't want cheap, you just buy elsewhere. And I have little use for the flood of overpriced trend novelties. Migros is doing away with itself. For me, every year means: "One M less."

The new logo and the new packaging design of M-Classic are at best suitable for a toy store, but certainly not for a supermarket chain's own brand. For this reason alone, the question must be asked whether @Migros still takes its responsible customers seriously at all or whether the aim is to make fun of everyone.

Hello,↵↵I hope that when the time comes, you'll find your Gipfeliteig as it was, and not as an improved M-Classic...↵↵I've been looking for the corona-related lost↵https://migipedia.migros.ch/en/m-budget-fluessigseife-nfb↵↵↵Since we are now washing our hands (+ all sorts of other things) more than ever, we are expected to pay a lot for it and buy much more expensive liquid soaps scented with all kinds of aromas, which may even leave behind some kind of residue.↵I can already see from the questions about the product that the M-Budget liquid soap will also be converted into an M-Classic product.↵↵🤔 Incidentally, the M-Budget gift card has long since disappeared from the gift card range.

I think the soap is no longer available. the soap was really good in terms of fragrance and composition, but unfortunately it's also gone. but some M Classic products are actually really good in terms of price and quality. but I think it's a shame that Migros realizes that the M Budget products are currently in great demand, and still stubbornly refuses to launch any new M Budget products. Coop wants to increase its Prix Garantie line to 1000 products, I'm curious how long it will take Migros to realize that you shouldn't always ignore the customers.

Hello Cinderella1925, thank you for your contribution. We have a very high demand for soap due to the current corona situation. M-Budget soap in particular is very popular and sold out in many places. In order to meet the needs of the whole of Switzerland, we are adjusting the deliveries of various products accordingly. However, this will take some time to implement. You are right, we will soon be offering this soap under M-Classic - I am happy to inform you that only the design and the product name will change. The price and content will remain the same. Best regards, Luisa

Hopefully Migros will not become even more expensive than the Coop itself. Today I also noticed that the M Budget hazelnut spread is no longer in the range, only an M Classic that looks more expensive than the M Budget. Would find it interesting if there was a list where you can see which M Budget items have been removed from the range and which new ones have been added. Because it is said that the M Budget range is neither to be expanded nor reduced. But many here have the feeling that the M Budget line is being deliberately reduced. Best regards Hassan2018

Of course M-Budget will be dismantled if more and more products from this line are placed under M-Classic. And this is happening all the time. Whatever this is supposed to mean, it's incomprehensible and totally customer-unfriendly.
