My point is not whether they are comparable, nor what criteria you use to determine which is better.

what criteria you use to determine which products you choose.
Only organic products (obviously not), only drinks, only what you personally consume ...
If you rummage through all the products long enough, you're bound to find something - even products that are better at Migros than at the Coop. That's not meaningful for me.

You can certainly find that, but you should always consider the background. Migros is bigger in Switzerland than Coop and all the others. Therefore, the various Coop products weigh just as much as the cheap Swiss meat, milk and cheese products in Lidl as when Migros is ahead in other products.
The MB vegetable mix with the imported ingredients is overpriced, because Coop will also make a profit with its PG variant, but less. Migros claims that palm oil cannot be substituted in its products, but Coop offers the cheap chips with rapeseed oil.
How is it possible that Coop can do something that Migros cannot? For example, Coop's Bud products are more sustainable than Migros organic products, but only marginally more expensive. I find Migroleum's comparisons very meaningful, because they show at least in part how expensive Migros is.

Really frightening, these comparisons with everything that is carted halfway around the world (even the New Zealand deer pepper sends its regards!). As always, Migros will probably justify itself by saying that domestic or at least European production is unable to meet demand. This may be true and Migros may even be happy for Coop to snatch domestic products from the market. Then they can fall back on the cheaper imported goods and sell them to uninformed people at the same price (and don't tell me about the 5 or 10 centimes less per unit that Migros charges).

there are only 7 organic sugar beet growers in Switzerland, they supply 822.9 tons of organic sugar beet from Switzerland.
In Germany there are 80 organic sugar beet growers, they supply 44,146.4 tons of organic sugar beet from Germany. This means that Coop or Migros organic sugar packs contain around 98% sugar from German organic sugar beet.
Migros is 10 Rp. cheaper for organic sugar. 1kg: Migros CHF 2.10, Coop CHF 2.20
Migros is therefore better in terms of price. If only it weren't for Migros' own "non-transparent" organic label. At Coop it is clear that the sugar is Bud-certified, even if it comes from Germany. At Migros, this is not obvious at first glance, as the sugar mainly comes from Germany, and normally foreign organic products with the Migros organic label are only of EU organic quality:
Migros organic label: the organic raw materials grown and unprocessed in Switzerland originate from Swiss farms that are certified with the Bud label in accordance with the strict requirements of Bio Suisse(www.biosuisse.ch).
Imported products from abroad "only" meet the requirements of the European Organic Regulation. In this sense, the EU organic label is inferior to the Bud label.
Now comes the good news:
According to my research, I found out that "All German growers who supply the Swiss sugar mill, = Schweizer Zucker AG, produce association goods. This means that all producers from Germany are either Bioland, Naturland, Biokreis or Demeter certified. They therefore meet the Bio Suisse requirements for the Bud label."
What a pity, Migros is actually "underlabeling" with its own organic label in this case.
It is very intransparent if the customer cannot see at first glance what quality the Migros product has?
Otherwise, Migros sugar is equivalent and cheaper than Coop sugar!
