MIGROS bread is no longer good

MIGROS Brot ist nicht mehr gut

Guest

Hello everyone,
We are bread lovers. Nothing is finer than the smell of fresh bread....
But we no longer buy Migros bread. They no longer smell good. Unfortunately, they also taste like a large bakery and not like fine dough.
We suspect that Migros is saving on raw materials. In other words, cheap flour, cheap bulk yeast, too much leavening agent.
In addition, there is a huge production with semi-finished products on site.

Please Migros: there are certainly many people who would now much rather visit bakeries that bake their own bread. Not HIESTAND-BROT, of course, but made fresh every day by small businesses. You can smell it!
Make real heavy bread again, not air bread with no flavor and little content.

What do the rest of you think?

Hello aequator66, thank you for your tip. Can you please tell me in which store the bread was unsatisfactory and what exactly was wrong? Best regards, Susi

The bread on the right (pictured) was bought in Migros Igelweid Aarau, the one on the left in Migros Supermarket Unterentfelden. Counter question: Which one would you choose when buying bread? Crust appearance, airiness, taste and palate pleasure! ,-) Lg

Unfortunately, we have already noticed that the quality of the same bread (e.g. crusty wreath) varies greatly in different Migros branches, which is a shame and should not be the case in this day and age of product and quality control. On the left is the in-house bakery and on the right Jowa headquarters... On the left is also freshly made on site by the baker... so it's clear that the quality is different there...

There is also an in-house bakery in Wil SG, but the breads in the smaller branches, which are still baked there, are better. So home baking is not always better, at least not here in Wil SG.

Based on the pictures, it is not apparent at first glance that one of the two products should have a quality problem. We would therefore like to ask you again to describe which bread was unsatisfactory and why. Kind regards, Matteo
