Since the normal long pretzel rolls have been removed from the range and only the unwanted balls are still available (they should only be there during the European Championships), demand for the pretzel sandwiches has risen sharply.
Unfortunately, Migros 9500 Wil is unable to order more of these. By 9.30 a.m. on Saturday, the rack is already empty. Why can't the store finally manage to order more of these (I've already complained several times), as the demand is simply very high?
So finally give us back the normal bread rolls or order more pretzel sandwiches!

Thank you for the information. If this was the real reason, the staff should have been informed accordingly. However, the excuses given do not suggest this. Best answer two weeks ago, when my (few remaining) alternatives were missing in addition to the original spelt bread: "You'll just have to try something else!" So I did: I left the store immediately and did all my weekend shopping at the competitor next door.
I'm so glad that the Migros I visit most often has a good bakery with real craftsmanship in the same building...

Hello dear community
Thank you for your new reports on the subject of pretzel rolls and original spelt bread. I have forwarded the report about the pretzel rolls to the store again. Unfortunately, that's all I can do at the moment. As far as the original spelt bread is concerned, your explanation @Kurumi sounds plausible, but I would also like to ask our specialist department, who I'm sure will have a precise explanation for this.
Thank you for your patience in the meantime!
Have a nice day.
Best regards

Hello everyone
Our specialist department has once again informed the store staff and store management that the availability of these items is to be optimized. We hope that this will work and that the pretzel rolls and original spelt bread will be available in future. Please let us know if this is not the case. We are very grateful for your input.
Best regards

After three original spelt loaves were still in stock in Gümligen shortly before midday in the last two weeks (1x Saturday and 1x Friday), I wanted to praise them. Skeptical as I am, I waited and was confirmed today: At 11:30 a.m., there was no more original spelt bread on the shelves, but plenty of tasteless and rapidly drying wholemeal bread. My judgment has been confirmed: Migros does not want to and cannot meet customer demand properly. It obviously doesn't need to. Well then...
PS: The new search function failed the first time I tried it. Other topics were found when I entered "Urdinkelbrot", but not this one.
Hello@Federwolke
Search function has not failed, works perfectly. Since it is nested, it may take a little getting used to.
When I searched for Urdinkelbrot, these were also listed in the thread "Laugenbrötlis".

Hello @Federwolke
Thank you for reiterating your experience with the original spelt bread at the Gümlingen store. The store has been notified about this situation, I will be happy to get back to you with more details as soon as I receive feedback from the cooperative. We'll stay on top of it!
Thank you very much @federica for your support with the search function.
What I would like to add: we would like to draw your attention to the fact that you should always call the branch in advance regarding availability, as the system is not updated every hour. It can therefore happen that the information does not match the current situation in the store.
I hope this information helps. Enjoy the day.
Best regards
Marina
Thank you for your efforts. The Gümligen branch has been repeatedly informed about the situation for several months. I have already described the sometimes stupid answers I received in various threads. So I have little hope that anything will change (or maybe for a short time, after all I've already been able to get hold of my favorite bread twice this year - wow!)
Regarding the search: On Saturday evening, the Laugenbrötli thread wasn't displayed either. I knew that my answer was in there, so I looked for it. There were 5 threads listed, today there are 7. And yes, I was sober ;-)
I only use the availability query to basically check the range, e.g. if I absolutely need an item that is not stocked in my local store. I am aware that it is pointless to check availability before making a purchase - especially when it comes to bread, which is in such rapid circulation. I don't really understand how the discussion so far has led me to this conclusion. And it gets to the point where I start a telephone survey to the stores in my area before I leave the house... Which store I choose doesn't depend on the original spelt bread, but on what else I need, sometimes also on the weather and how much time I have available or whether I need to get something else in town.
Even if I have to get on your nerves every week for another year: The original spelt bread in the Gümligen branch was sold out again just before midday today. I was lucky enough to get hold of a valid substitute - the thresher bread - but it was the last one. Once again, discussions with the staff, innocence personified, unsuspecting. I had to explain for the umpteenth time that this bread regularly runs out before lunchtime and that we should order more of it. "We'll see"; I heard this sentence for what felt like the 50th time today.
It's just shameful for Migros. I feel the same way about bread. Either good breads are simply taken out of the range and instead we now get gummy breads, or then the weight of the farmer's spelt bread, for example, is massively underweight.
But it's also bad how the staff then approach you with a tone that beats everything...
